In 2004 Pete Firman and I were lucky enough to interview Max Maven for our TV series.
Sadly Max passed away this week but hopefully this clip will bring back fond memories for everyone who knew him and introduce the legendary mind reading master to those who didn't.

I would watch him on the magic shows in the 90's and ond only one time did I fool him but any other he would get me every single time. He was so dang good. He was my fave. Rih Max. You will be missed

He literally explains how in the video. It's not a real explanation obviously, this is magic and actual mind reading doesn't exist, but he explains the internal logic of it if you were paying attention.
