Thank you, Lord, for sparing his life to witness another day when he is being celebrated. What a legend? What a man of honor? You have done well daddy. And, what a good woman mummy is to stand firm behind her husband. I hope we mothers and wives of now learn a crucial lesson. When it glitter is not the only time we should be around our ma. We need to be there always. Thank you, mummy, for this great and subtle lesson you have taught the women folks.
This literally makes me teary cos my Dad is also currently suffering from this... And thanks to my amazing Mom... You have no idea what the care givers pass through taking care of them and controlling them.. Some times my Mom prays to have the Man she got married to, back... With tears... But she's strong and will be to the end... Even my Dad she is taking care of is even looking More sparkling than herself. She's an amazing Woman.. Joke Silva is as well. We pray for a Miracle to such illness.
Please take care of your mom too. From experience we tend to neglect the carer . My mom was in the same position of caring for my dad but unfortunately passed on last year due to the whole stress and depression.
The caption was just so wrong. A sad reminder of how professionalism no longer has a place in journalism here. Olu Jacobs should be celebrated, not ridiculed. Shame
I had to go through the comments to see if people didn't just watch this, but read the caption too. Sahara reporters, this is so unprofessional for you. Struggle???
So proud of him. He's a legend. God bless and heal him. Thank God for his beautiful and Godly wife. Thank you for standing by your husband. You are a blessed woman and role. We love you both.
Seeing this legend this way brought so much tears to my eyes. Where is that gait and pomp? Where are the spoken words in baritone? I am short of words. I love you...
The man is a legend because he started his acting career in England before moving back into the Nigerian mainstream movie industry’s. We all going to age one day. It looks like Sir Olu Jacob is currently suffering from Alzheimer’s which most aged people suffered from. May God continue to bless him and his family. Joke Silva really stood by her husband.
Really, I cried watching this video too. It's so emotional to watch such a legend go through this. Thanks to the wife indeed beside him. But in my opinion I don't think Sahara reporter meant any offence or had any intention to mock him in any way
I thought I was the only one who wasn't comfortable with the crazy headline.... "... Struggling During AFRIFF Awards"... Thats the highest level of stupidity and unprofessionalism. Reporters should be trained on how to use words especially on social media.
Legendary Actor Olu Jacobs celebrated 🍾 at the AFRIFF Awards. As simple as that instead of writing rubbish to get pple to open the post.Give honour to whom honour is due.You really need to work on ur titles and stories and inorder to be awarded in future.
I celebrate him! And I celebrate his dear wife, Joke Sylva. God bless the whole family. Thank God for every moment they get to share together. These are precious moments. May God's loving Presence, His grace, mercy, and strength speak for them in this season in Jesus mighty and powerful name. Amen!
Sir Olu Jacobs is an almost 80 years old man. He is a legend, has achieved soooo much in good health. He is now getting old which is normal to be like this during old age. This man should be celebrated and not ridiculed. Sahara tv, do better next time!
The Legend @ Olu Jacobs turns 80 next year, the life expectancy rate in Nigeria is 60.87. Thank you, God, for the gift of life. Thanks to the power couple for the fantastic lessons you taught us through your movies. Right now, thanks for showing us what genuine and unconditional love is. This is beyond a WOW expression. He is blessed to be surrounded by his loved ones. Many old people were abandoned in old peoples homes/villages, with strangers caring for them. Admittedly, the caption 'struggling' used by Sahara TV is very insensitive. Would you please drop the word? A suggestion- Our beloved Legend, 79-year-old Olu Jacob, receives a well-deserved award with admirable support from his wife. If you rephrase it, will your team of journalist die? Is it impossible to have empathy? Or to be polite?
@@joyceumukoro866 over sabi aproko. You see your life, I was quite right afterall, I wrote this a day b4 his wife made the announcement. Next time, if you don't have anything nice to say, turn off your phone. Ok🤗
Guys, I believe its not all events u report, this is a person's personal life issue, he should be celebrated not ridiculed. We all have issues we deal with!
He is a legend anyday..., we love our legends. God's grace will continually uphold you sir. Mama J. Silva, God bless you for standing tall and strong, we love u !
1:24 this is as far as I could watch. I couldn't finish watching the whole video. I was just crying 😭😭😭 like a baby. I love this man, A LEGEND and I admire his wife JOKE. May God be with all of you in this battle you're fighting 🤗😘😘😘
Oh my good God !Gods divine healing on him,one thing I know is the doctors may say there's no cure to this illness but I have a God dt heals all sickness,Its my fervent prayer for pastors to bring Mr oluJacobs to the knowledge of chrsit Jesus before its too late.May he remain blessed and I wish him a quick recovery. Amen
Great to present the Life time Award at this time. Majority won't understand the effect of this degenerated condition of a brilliant man like Olu Jacobs; that confirms the frailty of man. My own father suffered this condition and it was quite a pain to see how a smart wonderful soul struggle to do things on his own; life never returned back normal to him until he passed on. I respect the wife so much as they are not only pioneers of the Nolywood industry but gave color to it. Olu Jacobs smashed alot of roles and gave every home good entertainment. Wishing him recovery as it can only be possible by the turnaround power in God's miracle. We work too hard often times; Men listen to your body changes as you grow older; early signs and symptoms of these conditions are often there but we don't give our body sufficient medical attention and exercise required and keep the cycle of money chasing active.
We celebrate you Sir and most especially we celebrate your wife! It's so obvious the love ,care and devotion that she is showering on him! Kudos Mamaa!
I feel soooo sad for any GOOD man who doesn't have a reliable pillar(Woman) in his life. GOD bless you Sir, and congratulations on your award! Mummy Joke, YOU BE WOMAN!!!! GOD BLESS YOU.
Who you marry matteers, how you treat your wife matters.Seeing how is wife is standibg by him, is a testiminy that he is a great husband. You cannot a lousy and selfish husband and father and expect people to stand by you in your low time. You will surely reap what you sow.
Sahara sef na very yeye people at times sha! The legend is old and showing signs of senility. I’m glad he was able to have loved ones to support and guide him.
I don't know what you want to achieve by posting this if not to make a lot of people upset and unhappy. Do you not feel terrible watching an icon battling an illness that has no known cure? If not for anything but for the fact that he is a husband, father, mentor and gave us fantastic classics which will only get better on every watch. This man deserves to be treated with dignity and respect during this challenging period in his life. Please show some respect to him, his family and other loved ones by taking this down.
First congrats to you Sir Jacobs and your delectable wife and entire family, learnt a lot from you both growing up and still learning. To you Sahara TV, its a shame, your headline speaks of how low you have come on morality in your reportages. Has journalism now become a tool to ridicule our senior citizens who have given their lives to teaching some of us values we now live by? To all our so called slay mamas and whatever u go by in d name of being women.. May we Learn what womanhood and motherhood indeed is in this woman. I doff.
We need to do better by the way we address our elders, using derogatory words is not the way to appreciate their effort(s) irrespective of his health or state of mind right now. We should celebrate him for who he is and not label him. I'm proud of you Sir & Ma Olu Jacobs for being such a good example to us. Remember, we all are going to get old one day and no one knows what awaits them at the end of the tunnel. Let's be more sensitive, respectful and responsible with our words!
