Events that the causes of those events are not afraid of repeating them, but they are happy. And they sat waiting for right time. Italy 2006... such a dreadful loss for us French. Zidane's headbutt mortified my parents and their friends, and they cried at the penalties. We could have won our 3rd star in 2018, instead of our 2nd.
To be fair, I still think that Zidane's headbutt against Materazzi was good, fuck that guy legit. Like why does that shithead feel the need to badmouth Zidane's sister during the game, imo the headbutt was more then deserved.
I watched that movie Hustle with Adam Sandler the other day. Great film, but his character, as an NBA scout, says a couple times "I hate soccer". I kept thinking HOW??? My only response is that people who hate it, especially Americans, have only seen boring leagues for a short time and then come to this conclusion once no thrills like these have been present on the pitch.
Most people who say they hate soccer have never watched a full game. They've seen little bits of the defense passing the ball back and forth in their own end, know it's relatively low scoring, and assume it must be boring based on those two things. The equivalent would be seeing an NFL team run the ball twice for no gain and throw an incomplete pass and just assume that's what the whole sport is.
