There is actually an easter egg in Lunala’s cry. Unlike the other legendaries, which are either generic jibberish, parts of their English names or a slight misspelling of English words associated with their designs, Lunala’s cry is in Hawaiian. Mahina is the Hawaiian word for moon, while pea is a combination of “piha”, meaning full, and the end of “ōpeʻapeʻa“, which means bat. Together, Lunala’s cry is literally “Full Moon Bat”.
I was looking at that thinking it's definitely Hawaiian of some sort. Most Polynesian cultures love their vowels. That's a cool throwback. Thank you for sharing.
There is actually an easter egg in Kubfu’s cry. Unlike the other legendaries, which are either generic gibberish, parts of their English names or a slight misspelling of English words, Kubfu’s cry is in English. Kubfu’s cry is “bear”. Bears are carnivoran mammals of the family Ursidae. They are classified as caniforms, or doglike carnivorans. Kubfu is a small, bearlike Pokémon. “Bear” translates to “Bear” in English. This means that Kubfu’s cry is literally “Bear”.
Darkrai, in addition to basically being the second nicest dark type pokemon, also has the manners to not scream out gibberish when it is faced with basic human interaction.
@@robloxplayer0003"Everyone please take caution, a disaster will come soon!" "Well clearly you are the one responsible for the disaster so instead of being grateful for the warning we will now hate you."
0:16 it's hilarious how much more realistic "gwogobo gwobobobo" is than the others, it sounds like a real guy trying to pronounce the cry with a straight face
Darkrai doesn’t cry, he believes other Pokémon would see him as weak if he cried. So he proves to be instead, the silent Antagonist to the trainer’s silent Protagonist. Or he’s just an edgy teen that wanted to be different and played too much Shadow the Hedgehog.
0:07 that written rendition of the regi-whichever one that is--IS SO SATISFYING. It looks EXACTLY like how the Regi sounds!!! Edit: Same with Landorus's written cry!!! So good!!
@@hotaruishere2133look up the regi's cries from the anime! They truly are ancient beings, the anime made them absolutely terrifying, formidable, respectable forces of nature.
Darkrai is simply bearing the pain of isolation, ostracised for not having control of its power. It has nothing to say, it is too miserable to comment. It knows the anguish it’s caused to people who fought past the suffering inflicted on them. It feels those weaker lives that slip away within its grasp. It seems unable to directly call its counterpart to save its victims. All it can do is wait, until someone can look past its flaws and take it into their family as one of their own.
Giratina, a vital element of the universe’s creation, master of the reverse world, and one of the most frightening Pokémon to ever exist: “GIGA GIGA WOO!”
0:52 Ok so, Kubfu saying *bear* is kinda clever tho.. Bear means "Bear". This is the name of the animal Kubfu's line is based of, which is called the Bear.
@@CeruleanSeal being funny wasn't my intention, I was just kinda mocking the many comments on this video that looked like the one about lunala saying mahina is clever; except they said obvious things.
0:48 Ok so, Necrozma saying *light* is kind clever tho… Light means “light” in english. This was the same as brightness to the dictionary, which is why he is the king of ✨ *light* ✨
