Greg, is a true artisan. He did my vintage Tudor sub circa 1963 as well as corrected the retention ring and bezel install that a Rolex tech had done incorrectly. Greg installed and fixed all of it and it looks and operates ow as it should !

There are so many brands but the way rolex did their watches back in the day is truly remarkable. The symmetry , layout , proportions are all amazing and the history heritage and the charm of true tool watch is something a modern rolex will never be able to display.

Superb. I have the Omega equivalent - 1963 165.024 - no date, similar dome crystal, grade bezel - tho not the mil version. These pieces are absolutely stunning. Mine was water-damaged but still looks and feels absolutely stunning. On black handmade beaver-tail strap.

Excellent video! Could you share which press and dye were used to press down the retaining ring down? I cannot find a dye with enough depth to press without damaging dome vintage crystals. :(

Amazing. How did it feel to have TWO 5517s in the same building?

Amazing work!!!! A few quick questions, and I know I will get murdered for this question. Some may see this as blasphemy. Which is ok, my watch, not selling. I own a 5513 Maxi dial from 1980 no original bracelet head only. I want sword hands on mine 1) it's easier to read the time at a glance. 2) I never liked Mercedes hands and my vision is not that good anymore. 3) sword hands look cool and go so well with a Submariner. There are a few companies that make sword hand sets for 1520 movements. Have you done this mod before? What are your thoughts on it? Do you provide this mod service? Which had sets that you know can go into a 1520 movement (Perhaps Omega Seamaster hand set?). Thank you and Happy Holidays... You are a curator and an artist, much respect for your craft. Thank you for posting these videos.

Hello! I am new to watch collecting, and just acquired an older Seiko 5 sports with some issues. It seems to be running way to fast and needs new glass. Could you repair it for me please? I would pay for any parts you might need, and you could make a video of the repair. I'm just worried that getting it serviced would likely cost more than the watch is worth, and I don't really have the money for that right now (university student). Please let me know if you could help. Love the channel!

Try to demagnetize it first. Go to any jeweler with watches and ask to have a look. That would cost nothing... new glass the same. If it needs work... you can buy a new movement for $50... even lower... but first ask a watchmaker to have a look. Don't open the watch and do anything yourself. Oh, and you don't need to send a Seiko to a Rolex expert... cause it will cost you way more and you would just waste his time. This guy is on another Lv. Welcome to the hobby.

I cannot believe that this guy has just taken away all the history of this watch by changing the crystal & polishing the case, he's probably halved it's value, when i get my Milsub done at Rolex it's just a movement service and a long list of what not do.

Did you actually watch the video? "This guy" did not polish the case. A poor quality aftermarket crystal was changed to a TrueDome. If this watch went to an RSC the crystal would be replaced with a service variant. While polishing the case of a vintage watch does detract value, changing the crystal in no way does. Look at auction results over the past 10 years and you will see examples selling with original and service crystals all within the same range. Do some research before casting judgements and misinformation. I love original crystals but would I trust a 40+ year old acrylic to protect a priceless dial? Absolutely not. It's like owning a classic car and expecting the tires to be original.
