Hey man I'm glad that you enjoyed skating Venice! It took me about 50 hours to make as it was my first "real" map and I switched to Blender on this one too (From Cinema4D). I'm also happy that your settings overall worked on this map, I mainly designed it for "Tweaked" settings as I found it was a great balance between SkaterXL default and true realism. At 14:29 when you gap down over the set, there's actually a grindspline on the edge of the roof to your right. P.S. Sorry about that grindspline not being there near the end.

The Thrasher Skate and Destroy version of the level had a street with some more buildings you could go on top of with a crazy rail coming off the roof. But one cool feature in the Thrasher level that I enjoyed was a little mini ramp on the beach. I would session that for hours
hope the console release has a strong online mode. I could imagine board companies sponsoring the game and doing video premieres in game much like that fortnite event that happened a while back with DJ marshmallow. Big sandbox free skate with a gigantic screen playing a new video or something. Would be an amazing experience.
@Josh derp high hopes for dynamic settings, the developers can take notes off the modding community. ive got the pc version but it doesnt reach the same audience as a full release will, even if its mediocre at launch with lots of updates.

It's crazy how big of a change the new update has had on the game. Just new animations and reverts is honestly game changing, I can't stop playing it, everything feels so smooth and steezy.
i really want them to add proper wallrides into this game.. make them somewhat similar to how wallrides look in thrasher (imo the best wallrides in any skating game ever)
This needs to be on PS4 ASAP!!! I’ve actually been playing SKATE 3 on my PS3 (why on earth they wouldn’t make this game PS4 compatible blows my mind) and I’m hurting for a next gen realistic skateboarding game.. Best games ever made, never gets old.. Tbat and Fight Night Champion, 2 of EA’s greatest games that never seen another release

Do you prefer Skater XL or Session? Why so? I picked up session recently and love it, but can't decide if I wanna try this one out as well. The modding community seems to be bigger, but for some reason this game looks a little more "arcadey" to me.
youll find that when you do wallrides if the feet glitch out in real time it wont be glitched in the replay editor. so sometimes bad ones are still good! haha
Where are the balance lines? This looks more like Skate, that disappoints me so much. They take a Tony Hawk level but they want to plat and look nothing like his games. I like arcade skating, I'm no real life skateboarder; just go skate. That's what made Tony Hawk so amazing :(
do u guys know if skater xl has the "legacy" control system already? I just don't enjoy these new controls... I like the skate 3 ones and I'm loving Session, I'd purchase skater xl too if it has legacy controls.
It doesnt. Honestly its worth learning the controls on SXL. The mechanics work a hell of alot better than sessions, and unlike sessions, the 2 stick control actually fit very well for this game.
Turn using both sticks at the end of your rotation. So if I was doing it while spinning right, I would hold my right stick to the left and my left stick to the right when I need a faster spin. If that makes sense.
Check out gameplay and you'll see! (I made the Venice map in this video) The play styles are definitely different between the games, though I prefer SkaterXL.
@@TheMineShack I also like skater xl more because of the feel and there is lots of mods. I love the control and pov mode helps me visualize tricks in real life.
@@kilrchronic4436 Skater XL is a full sim, Session is barely a sim. You do really need mods for it's full potential, which is why Session appeals to more to some people as well as having "More realistic graphics". If you search for a Skater XL video, edit, whatever, 9 times out of 10 they're using Vanilla settings. Which feels like skating on the moon. Session is very broken and unpolished at the moment when you really compare the two. Feels like the devs focused on graphics and map design a little more than mechanics.
