Legendary Weapon Tier List (Soul Calibur 2) 

I'm loving these tier lists! There's not nearly enough Soulcalibur content in this style.

Believe it or not, these tier lists have made me want to play SC2 again, and it's been a nostalgia trip, man. Thank you. I'd love to see more for SC2 or other games. Is there any chance for a tier list on joke weapons or a video about the non legendary weapons?

5:11 Looking at the "Soulcalibur II The Complete Official Guide" by Piggyback Interactive, it states on page 131 that attacking with Han Guang will cause Yun to lose 3 HP, but it doesn't state that it will cause chip damage, however Brady Games' "Soulcalibur II Official Fighter's Guide" does state that it will cause 10% of chip damage but doesn't make mention of losing HP. After checking the US, EU and JP versions of SCII, turns out that the "lose 3HP per attack" trait was only in the Japanese version of the game, which was replaced with "deal 10% of chip damage per attack" in later versions. Similarly, the Brady Games guide states that Nightmare's Soul Calibur has a 25% defence increase, but the Piggyback Interactive guide doesn't. Once again, doing in-game testing for all three regions of the game shows that the JP version of the game doesn't have a defence increase or decrease but the US and EU versions of the game show a 25% increase.

Next time, do the joke weapon.

I’m really surprised this is the first video I’ve seen someone make on this subject and it’s about time! As a kid me and my friends spent hours playing weapon master mode to unlock and explore the different weapons stats. Modern fighting games NEED more repeatable content like this.

Please keep these list videos coming, it's a breath of fresh air to see something so small yet so interesting finally being talked about like this

I didn't even know the full effects of most of these weapons despite playing SCII for so many years, it's really cool to see that kind of content for this game, and you do a really good job at covering it too!

I like to think the drain on Tekken is from Heihachi being embarrassed if he doesn't kick your ass fast enough.

I believe I heard some Samurai Warriors music in there. Regardless, pretty awesome. you do bring up characters better weapons that aren’t legendary or soul edge, will there be a look at the normal weapons? or mids/alts?

Will it be a Tier List for Bosses from Soul Calibur and Tekken?

Cool stuff ! Would love to see functionall differences for weapons in future soulcaliburs, if it was legal in competition i think it would create some fun stories and give people more stuff to mess around with tho it would also be really hard on the devs to patch the game with long range weapons in mind at all times, those would definitelly break the game one way or another lol

Cool video! Interesting to see tier lists that are non meta or jokes. This might change the tiers a bit. Soul charge has multiple levels of charge (i believe 3) depending on how long animation is played. It can be canceled by pressing G. Meaning soul charge is pretty safe at anytime. You can only see the level of charge on the character itself. The weapon will glow or something like that.

nightmares soul calibur weapon is so fucking cool. probably my second favorite weapon in all of soul cal, next too soul edge. never knew why it was soo good but i always used nightmares legendary. it just felt amazing

I remember one weapon and it's because my friend tricked me into using it as Necrid. It's the weapon that does full damage through block but block chip damage on normal hits. Incredible

I kind of like the dichotomy between Nightmare's second best and ultimate weapons considering they both have a healing upside, but different alternate upsides and downsides. SE Growth is more about power, with slightly worse healing and modest chip from block, while Soul Calibur is more defensive with better healing but you have the horizontal break thing and the AI is made stronger (citation needed). Honestly either one is good for certain situations. Also my _god_ is the SCII version the best design for the Zweihander Soul Calibur in the entire series. I always adored how it looked. Also initially I was very confused why the Zweihander SC was at the top considering the host of conflicting information thanks to the US/EU changes. "What, just health regen alone is enough for the very top??" Silly conflicting sources... I imagine if it was like the Japanese version (no defense buff) it would probably be in A or B, and probably considered worse than SE Growth.

I loved Link's Great Fairy Sword.

Do a "all weapons tier list" for each character. Make separate videos on each character.

Hraesvelgr also looks like a fancy version of the Feather Broom. But it's also worse than the broom too lol.

when you mentioned Valkyrie being in Soul Blade, I could feel my blood boiling. That thing was awful to fight against in that game.

Seung Mina’s wep is great if you’re a berserk attack style player like me who rarely guards!! And Kilik’s takes a lot of skill to use, but it can be incredibly good

Sure I'll watch a tier list for weapons in a game I only ever played at a friend's house when I was 12. Why not? "DISGUSTING" - Astaroth 1998 or whenever the heck this game was around. Best bunny.

Kilik's legendary is dull until you play sudden death mode where everyone dies in one hit - then it becomes S-tier because of its range. Source: I played SC2 casually back in the day and playing Kilik ruined a bunch of my friendships.

Why does the game call some of these weapons "legendary" if they have massive debuffs?

Entertaining video though the tier ordering is all over the place. The no-guard weapons are trash, you won't be able to take advantage of step-guard, the strongest technique in SCII. GI is no substitute, it has the usual risk but its less rewarding if the opponent knows the g2 glitch. The long range ones are potentially game breaking if you know how to play keepaway. Healing is completely broken though if you're still able to guard. With a good defense and safe retaliation its near impossible to kill you. Basically this game is more defense oriented at any decent level of play than you think.

Please enlighten me- how are you able to play as Link and Heihachi AND Spawn on the same game?
