This film is a multicam, made of the two available video sources kindly donated by the tapers, Martin and Ecfan. Both sources have been available among collectors for several years, but the most complete version unfortunately is also very poorly filmed. Although at times almost unwatchable, the outstanding music flowing from this outdoor stage in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, makes up for the bad camera work. The original audio track was recorded by Rene and also shared on CD-Rs shortly after the gig.
27 years later a first generation copy of Rene's mastertape, was entirely remastered and then synced to the two video sources.
The audio remastering process was extensive, but the result is now a (fake) stereo audiotrack of the entire show and a much more overall enjoyable experience.

The audio remastering process applied to Rene's master tapes:
1. The master mono recording was split into 5 frequency bands, making it possible to manipulate certain bands in bass frequencies, lower midrange (rhythm, groove feel), mids (guitar, vocals, "punch" feeling in the mix), high mids (sax, the "shiny" feel of drums and other instruments), and upper frequencies for overall sharpness and clarity.
2. Then a denoising pass was applied to remove hisses, which did not compromise cymbals and shiny feel of the mix, trying to preserve as much as possible from the original.
3. After denoising the mix was broken down and the 5 bands were readjusted in the frequency spectrum, applying stereo imaging, fattening up the mix, pulling out certain elements in the mix as much as possible (vocals mainly, but differ on some tracks).
4. Then widening of the stereo image. At this point a latch back to previous decisions and do tiny readjustments so it all still stands as something a listener could enjoy.
5. Another pass in denoising, but again, not too harshly, as it compromises the source material. After this, compression and pushing the loudness levels to a proper volume.
This is what it is all about! Time is passing, and some EC recordings might already be lost forever. Our goal is to ensure rare and unique recordings and films with Eric Clapton, are unearthed and shared for free with fellow EC music fans, before they are used as landfill by people not knowing the archival value these recordings possess.
