@@Y69x I returned it, instead paid $16 more to get the legion 5 pro with the Ryzen 7 7745HX, I like the design and build quality better than the slim 5
Currently looking at the model with Ryzen 7 7840HS & a 4070. Only 16Gb RAM, but that's easily upgradable at a later date. Currently going for around $1500 where I am. Feels like a good deal for that setup, so will probably order later today.
Does this laptop produce a howling/whistling sound? I have a legion 5 pro 2023 hone right now, but gonna return it because the fans makes a whistling sound. The normal woosh sound is no problem.
Hey, you've tried doing basically everything in your reviews can you include turning off cpu turbo boost fearure too and benchmark for better thermals in new ryzen and intel cpus
Great review! I bought the same laptop, but with R7 7840HS and RTX 4070. The laptop is keeping pretty cool temps while gaming like 70-75c both cpu and gpu. But the Vram temps when gaming are always 96-100c. Did u tested the Vram temps in urs ? Should i be worried and return the laptop or it is normal for 40 series gpus? I hope for your reply! Thanx in advance!
Hey, I'm planning to buy the same model and configuration. Although i mainly play both Genshim and SQUAD, would it be possible for you to benchmark the SQUAD game? It's a bit hardware demanding
What do yo think ... Do I have to consider MSI's Vector GP66 with i7-12650h, rtx3060 6gb, qhd oled 240hz ? Plz recommend me the top deal for around 1000-1200$ I'll be more than happy if you'll read this comment😢 Thanks in advance 🙏
Hi Brandon I love your videos, and I was wondering if you could give me a good advice. My budget is 1.8 k euros for a gaming laptop. I would like to have a 4070 and the best cpu I can because I will use it for work as well. Ideally I would like to get the latest generations. Can you please help me? Thanks
brandon, 6 cores 12 threads is plenty for gaming!! the laptop isnt even utilizing the 6 cores when gaming. 6 cores still has a lot of life yet. just saying.
I have gen 9 (2024) with 8845HS and rtx 4060. While the temperature never go up to 80 Celcius, the fan noise is annoying. At 60 Celcius, the fan already in high rpm (didn't check, observed based on fan noise only)
RTX4050 will get you the option to use Nvidia framegen, that will boost FPS but at the cost of higher input lag. But apart from that if you own an 3060, there is no reason to upgrade from a 3060 to a 4050, i would save up money to be able to get a much better option. But if you are looking for a whole new system (CPU RAM GPU ETC) go for what fits your budget. But remember that the 4050 is really only competing with the 3050.
