I own the gt500 for about 6 months now, and it is a game changer. This one looks like it gives also the same performance. For gaming laptop owners this is a must. For me, it is the only way I can play call of duty at 144 fps without the cpu reaching 94C. I own an msi gp66 leopard with rtx 3070 and i7 11800h.

Hopefully in the future liquid cooling laptops like the legion 9 gets cheaper so we don't have to listen to a fan goin 2000rpm

Any vibration coming ?
@skullingtonturtle8080
@skullingtonturtle8080 4 месяца назад
@@Dr-938I’ve got the GT500 too, zero vibration because of the memory foam that seals the laptop to the chassis. And for the whole assembly-to-tabletop vibration, that’s zero too cause of 1. The weight of the laptop on the fan, 2. The fan is balanced and centered like any other, so it’s not really prone to creating any vibration.

Would it push so much air that the laptop fans would be damaged?
@robvera1404
@robvera1404 2 месяца назад
@aadisamaroo3074 I have been using it for almost a year, and my fans are perfectly fine. I don't think it will do any damage. However, if you want to be safe, just don't crank it all the way at full speed. It's too loud at full speed anyway . I normally keep it half speed. Oftentimes times I cap my games at 60 or 90 fps not full 144 fps and it helps my cpu stay cooler. However, call of duty I play at 144 fps and the cpu doesn't go below 94c, and the cooler drops the temp to like 70 or 75 c, so it's very, very helpful.

I tried the competing brand “Llano” with this same design and literally anything over 300rpm (the lowest setting) is a jet, like uncomfortably louder than even the internal laptop fans at full speed. I kinda prefer the GT500’s analog potentiometer-based dial cause you can really find the sweet spot as opposed to this digital one that just has (seemingly inaccurate) 100rpm steps. And you can crank the GT500 up to about 60% full speed and it stays quiet and insulated, vs Llano’s literal ‘anything above the lowest setting is deafening’. What rpm does the GT600 get too loud for comfort?

When you're testing without the cooling pad maybe put it on the desk or something? The cooling pad seals all the intakes so its kinda unfair to run the laptop that way.

Just some helpful criticism. Its unclear if you removed the dust filters from the cooling unit when testing the laptop base performance. Not doing so may increase the resistance of air flow and cause the resulting data to be inflated.

Product designers in China have never seen an American 120v power strip. When you receive your GT600v2, you can quickly see that they tried to design their 12v Wall Wart so that it would take up less spaces on a standard power strip, unfortunately they must have designed this adapter without actually having an American power strip to test it on. Sure it's a slimmer power adapter, but it needed to have the prongs rotated 90 degrees. Since they did not do that, this power adapter takes up MORE space than a traditional Wall Wart does. All the writing on the product ID label (on the bottom of GT600) and on the power adapter are Chinese lettering. It does seem like they designed their OWN power adapter rather than use a generic (incredible waste of resources, which raises the price of this product for no reason!) So they probably spent the money to redesign this adapter with good intentions, but it was all for nothing because most power strips don't position the prongs in a way that would make this design useful.
