I hate the “Superstar” argument. A superstar is simply a player that the league can sell. Showing up and being THE guy in the playoffs is what matters. Joel hasn't made it out of the second round and doesn't elevate his game in the playoffs

For once I agree with Perk. I like Boston but the Knicks have everything you want from playoff team. Lots of playoff experience and probably will be the toughest team in the playoffs. They definitely have a path to the NBA finals and that’s something that didn’t exist previously.

Ive been preaching since last year that the knicks DO NOT NEED A SUPER STAR! They went out and got exactly what they needed which was scoring off the bench and they did that in leaps and buckets!! This is why no one takes ESPN and their NBA crew seriously. This was a HUGE trade and filled every hole they had and more. As much as I can't stand Perkins, he's the only one talking with sense. This trade may have finally pushed them to contenders and as a Knicks fan, I thought I'd never say that.

You put Burks and Bojan on the court with Brunson and there won't be any defenses collapsing on him when drives to the basket because both Burks and Bojan will hit the 3's consistently - from a Piston's fan who is happy to see both go to a playoff team.

This is exactly what this team needed right now. The Lakers game last Saturday really exposed an issue we've had for a while now: lack of bench scoring. Now it'll be a huge mistake to double Brunson (and especially Randle when he gets back) because you have so many shooters now. People are sleeping on how DANGEROUS the Knicks are, and the league is so lucky that we got almost our whole starting lineup injured at the moment. This is an amazing trade and, even crazier, this team can STILL get better! 👀

Knicks upgraded their bench with Bojan and Burke. They needed more scoring which is great. They’re now at best, if they have Randle healthy back, an Eastern Conference finals team with the roster and bench they have. Good move.

Best kNicks team in terms of talent since 96-97. When they brought in Larry Johnson, Chris Childs,Allan Houston, Buck Williams, and John Wallace. That was the maimi brawl year and stern suspended half our team to cost us the series.

Leon Rose has done a fantastic job since taking over from Steve Mills; his patience is Knicks' biggest asset. This is NOT the season to go after a superstar but if Embiid becomes available in July, Knicks can put a package together and get the deal done.

I actually thought the Knicks could make a the Eastern Conference Finals before this trade deadline. Now I really believe they have an even better opportunity to make the Eastern Conference Finals and be very competitive when getting there. Brunson has proven himself to be a great go to player and closer for this team since last year and had the media questioning the Mavs on letting him walk in free agency. The only thing holding this team back from reaching it's full potential is injury/health and that's with any Tom Thibbs teams. This Knicks team is something serious.

The playoffs is all about who can get a bucket. Brunson, Randle, OG, Bojan, Burks, Divincenzo all can get their own shot. Elite rebounding and defense too? This might be one of the best Knick teams ever.

They aren’t title contenders but they are that scary team that nobody wants to face because they have enough to knock off a title contender or maybe even two but in the current NBA, you need a top 5 player leading you to truly be a contender. Just look at the team that won in recent years. Jokic, Steph, Giannis, Bron, Kawhi, Durant and Steph twice, Bron, Steph. It goes back until 2014 with the Spurs where we don’t see an active top 5 player at the time lead a team to a championship. And that team had the greatest coach ever, the greatest and most selfless team game ever with one of the deepest and best defensive teams in history. And you did have 4 first ballot hall of famers on that team. One of them young and not grown to be a star yet and the others were past their primes. And their rotation was insane. You need a perfect team top to bottom with the greatest coach ever to win it all in the modern NBA and even that championship is more than a decade old now. Brunson is good but he ain’t on that level.

My bets on a Knicks vs. Clippers or Lakers Finals is starting to look smarter after this trade. Great upgrade for the Knicks in getting Bojan. They need more offensive firepower and he’ll do. OG and Bojan are nice pickups for the Knicks this season. Top 3 in the East is shaping up to be Celtics, Cavaliers, and then Knicks while Bucks and Sixers are fading fast. I’m not sure Patrick Beverley will help the Bucks by this point but at least he’s worked with Doc before. Pat is turning 36 this year. He’s a bit washed and a lot of his defense comes from fouling and then talking smack. PatBev is not as useful as he was a few years ago. Hence, why he’s been on the Clippers, TWolves, Lakers, Bulls, Sixers, and Bucks in a span of 3 years. This would’ve been a good trade if Jrue was still on the team and this was done maybe two years ago. You really think Doc will play Dame and Pat at the same time? Dame is 6’2 and Pat is 6’1. No. And Dame is a poor defender while Pat is a poor offensive player, so it doesn’t balance out when they’re both on the floor because they’re both short and play the same position. Bucks trading for Beverley smells like the stink from GM Doc. We know Doc is even worse as a GM than as a head coach which is saying a lot because he’s the GOAT coach for historic playoff losses. Who will the Bucks get next? Austin Rivers? Then Doc will hand him a $35M contract when Austin only deserves a G League salary.

They still may need some good or GREAT 5 to join the team.. We saw what happened when AD came into town last game. They didnt have an answer
