Along with the vehicles, these sorta generic drivers were a nice way to fill out the background of a Bara Magna display, make the world feel more populated. To that end, it does kinda stink that it's mostly just water and fire tribe members, and that we don't see, say, a third member of the sand tribe. However, we will see ONE other tribe represented soon enough.
Wow this set got a high score. I tend to forget that the 2009 vehicles exist but they really gave us a more accessible variety of vehicle sets, where you could get smaller ones for cheaper unlike in 2008.
2 things firstly, I really how the blue looks, it pops out and mixes nicely with the silver and secondly, I really like how the front of the bikes moves up and secures the two figures inside when closed
This era of Bionicle was basically becoming Hero Factory, in how different the designs were and the more vehicle/tech focus. They don't really stand out in design but look like fun toys
Great addition to the 2009 Glatorian vehicle line up! This set features four individual models, which is the most individual character and vehicle builds you get from any other vehicle set from this year. If you're working in chronological order, next week's Baranus V7 features three individual models that attach together to create one model. Can't wait for your thoughts on it!
The 2009 titans except Fero & Skirmix never appeared over here. Beside the Cendox I was gifted, this is one of the first times I got to see this properly. Thank you!
Not too much to say about this one. It does what you think it will and does so nicely. The technic pins on the backs of the Agori are also there to support the life counters if you take them off of the vehicle.
I almost had this set at the time, though I ended up obtaining a different set (8969), which was at the same price point for my 12th birthday in July of that year. Scodonius and Kirbraz mark the last appearances of the Av-Matoran torsos in black and Mata blue, and the helmets are exclusive to them in silver. They are also the last appearance of the Glatorian/Agori hands in Mata blue and of the Av-Matoran limbs in medium blue, though the latter of those also came in a Hero Factory set in 2010 before being phased out entirely. The vehicle itself was the last set to have the 2x5x2 jet engines in silver-which debuted in the Toa Mistika from the year before, and of the Technic 32-millimeter corrugated pipes in silver, which first appeared in a "Combine Harvester" (7636) earlier that year. The propellers shells from Pohatu Phantoka (8687) are exclusive in silver to this set, and this is also the last appearance of the Visorak feet in silver, and of that part all together.
Great vid! I really hope your video views will stay the same after Mata Nui Monday. I fear that most people only watch you for that. And when it ends....a big dip in views. I just like your personality, so you don't have to worry about that with me. Keep up the good work!!
I think this is the first set we seeing like twins Bionicles in a set , also idk why I tough it was gonna be more expensive but it’s not that expensive at least that’s how I see it lol.
Yes! Little bit of a nugget I'll keep here in the comments but livestreams /live show is going to become a thing this Fall once I finish all of the graphics, planning, and practice. Part of them will be a Q&A
I'll believe it when the sets get announced, but hopeful. There has been an unusual amount of Bionicle acknowledgement from LEGO® recently, but that could mean anything
