I thought the DB stand for "Deutsche Bahn" and the logo look quite similar.

This is the best pre 2003 steam train set. If I was given the choice I would go with the British railway logo stickers everyday

Well, I have this set twice, A nice and classic set to see. It is my favorite set as you can see at my Channel Picture on YT! Why no look at the box? DB = Deutsche Bundes Bahn (German Railroads), some of these logo's are slightly changed over the time... Thanks, Joseph to review this set!

I love how these classic train sets had different stickers for the rail companies of the period. I'd use the old British Rail logo, top 3rd from the left, but then I'm British so yeah lol

I have this set, but only the set and instructions, so your pretty lucky that you found a Lego 7727 box and unused sticker sheet!! That's rare for the U.S and the condition it's in!! I wish they would go back to this era, like how they did with the Taj Mahal recently, but sadly they most likely won't :(

I would like that too. Too many discontinued molds. But that would be one of the most awesome throwback sets for them to do. Also since they don’t do power rails they probably won’t do it. We can dream though

Great reviews! I also collect the 80's trains etc. I was suprised to see you seem to have many full sticker sheets! If these arent repro then those boxed sets much have cost heaps to collect! I'm glad I collected all mine before that effing Lego movie came out and sent aftermarket values spiraling out of control. Anyway cheers for nice reviews

LEGO should carry on such train designs instead of coming up with generic diesel and bullet trains year after year. This steam loco has so much character.

I just found my train from when I was a boy and putting it together. How big of a table do I need for the tracks?

@@BrickTsar thank you. I remember as a kid the train engine itself was around two feet long and 1/2 a foot wide and a foot tall. After I finished I was like “Really?!?”I ’m 45 and making train noises while building. lol It’s crazy how many memories rush into your head while you’re building them.

DB is German, SJ is Swedish, NS is Dutch, DSB is Danish, NSB is Norwegian.

#TrainMonth BAT: I have seen copper wire tape put on PF track to make it 9v compatible How to convert LEGO RC track into 9v track using Copper Foil Tape . What are your thought on this. Have you ever considered it? And part 2 does the power function trains have any slippage on the 9v track?

Don't recommend putting on the stickers. Set is worth more with the unapplied sticker sheet.

How did you get all your trains in this condition? It might be quite expensive, isn't it?

I’ve been collecting for a while. Sometimes they look better on film than in person. But I usually clean them and replace parts if I can. Glad I got some of my collection when I did as prices always tend to go up with LEGO

Mardigrasman23 I am the only one that the warning would have to be for. But even having it in English might not help. I was trying to figure out the names of the Friends characters in the shopping mall set and took me a while to realize they were in big letters on the front of the box. So warning labels might not work with me. lol

Mardigrasman23 Then you should find the ENG-FR-DUTCH type of this box, I have them both ;) BrickTsar Haha, we have other style of boxes in Europe, they don't have the 'Choking Hasard' and pieces on it...
