2:42 Actually the B-24 was slower than the B-17, but yes it could fly higher and carry a bigger bomb load than the B-17

Illumination.... nope the liberator was designed as a bomber and was designed to fly faster (wich it did) when the b-17 was designed from a airliner.. the b-17 could fly at 287mph while the b-24 could fly at 303 mph

EmilBuilds se: The B-24 had a top speed of 311, not 303. But it's engines usually only reached 273 while the B-17 could reach its top speed of 287 with ease.
