@Quinzerrak lol its NATO's before Putin because they provocated him by starting negotiating Ukraine in, Putin didnt want missles in his backyard and threaten them to stop or Ukraine will be invaded
@Quinzerrak i am not taking any side as i see both as bad i hate USofApes and i hate Putin both are multicultural but both NATO and Russia ate at fault as NATO rejected all negotiant to make Ukraine neutral and Putin played his last card but i think he could have done it without war by breeding corruption with agents and spies in Ukraine and making the officials more leaning towards him but thats probably too much work for him
@@bpdbhp1632 ok all knowing libtard tell me your wisdom tell me why NATO isnt in fault for anything and that it's Russia's fault tell me how isnt NATO the provocator tell me.
@@tamimahmed7857 That's what i would do Because i believe atc would allow emergency takeoffs in this time But that guy was just a jerk He also blocked the other Atc's from entering
@@seantaggart7382 Exactly my dude ! Like what a idiot. Like why the fuck did that moron not tell anyone with a plane evacuate immediately if he wanted to stay up there
the air tower guy shouting orders is such a great touch along with the fireman clearly the situation is beyond any of them but they desperately cling to illusion of control they had left until his last moments
It's the same way the electrical crew and the restaurant servers continued to work after the Titanic hit the iceberg. They knew there was nothing else they could do so they did what they normally do.
@@Boaz833 the engineers and coal trimmers of the Titanic knew they had one of the most important jobs left to do on the Titanic as she was sinking, that's why the majority of them remained at their posts until the final possible moment. Keep the boilers burning and therefore keep power on for as long as possible, to keep lights on and so that the wireless telegraph functioning.
That's the antanov an-225 the largest aircraft in the world. It requires at least 4 people in the cockpit. So 2 people to do the job of 4 people, not to mention this plane is from the 60's. it would take such a long to get this aircraft from cold and dark to ready for takeoff with starting the Apu, getting all 6 engines going, starting the hydraulic pumps, and a thousand other things and taxiing Plus they would need ALOT more runway then that if they were empty so imagine how much runway they would need being loaded down with cars
0:43 Don't they know that there is a passenger seating area on the second floor? this room has 20 economy style seats and several bunks. As an aviation enthusiast I take this stuff seriously!
I think the fact they stayed in the cargo bay is simply to show off the cars in the movie , if they had went to the passenger area it just wouldn't have looked so good for the movie . That room doesn't even have windows so I guess it was simply to try and increase interest or maybe more likely they just didn't do research into the an225 before they made the movie XD
@@wolfie8099 yes but the an500 isn't a real plane and anyone with any plane knowledge would immediately see that it is based on the an 225. The plane literally is the an225 but I think for copyright reasons they had to use a different name
Fun fact, the Antonov 500 is a fictional plane that is modeled after the real life Antonov-255 Myrna, the largest plane ever designed, which was destroyed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
@@Joumae_Saori Antonov was a Soviet state company and since Russia held power in the Soviet Union, it is probably considered Russian. Since an AN-225 does not have a rear cargo ramp, but one was needed for the film, a further development was thought of.
@Firdaus | Antonov was originally located in Novosibirsk, but the HQ was moved to Ukraine to try to diversify the economy of the Soviet region. Most of the engineers that worked in Antonov were from Russia, which moved to Ukraine within the USSR. Engineers that invented everything Antonov is known for today. With the dissoltion of the USSR, they went back to Russia which also marked the end of an era for Antonov. They haven't invented anything ever since, nor built anything of significance in the plant at Kiev, Ukraine, as the main factory that built planes is located in Russia. Antonov is hardly any Ukrainian.
A Hero of what ? Dumbasses ? Cause that's exactly what that idiot was saying they couldn't take off with there's literally clouds of death coming straight towards them.
Nah not really he was a jerk, any good ATC's in this situation will give emergency takeoffs and give clearance to all planes in the airport, he also blocked other ATC's from enetering
Not to mention 2:30. Talk about an impossible climb that would've made the plane stall. What could've been a majestic firework display was ruined by shitty Hollywood magic.
@@Sahilprakash1999 It was built in Ukraine, and designed by one. It's Ukrainian. It always has been. Soviet funding, sure. But it's still Ukrainian. There's a reason NATO even gave it the reporting name "Cossack."
1:10 why do they give af I never understood that ... 1:29 Is nobody gonna mention that the people in the Radio tower just died.. STILL TRYING TO COMMAND SASHA AND GORDON ON WHAT TO DO DESPITE A VOLCANIC ASH CLOUD APPROACHING THEM .. Why do they give af lol 😂
In reality planes need to warm up their engines for about 4-5 minutes but Sasha said "we were JUST ABOUT TO TAKE OFF but the tower didn't let them" so the engines already warmed up a little bit. If they had to keep warming up the ash could have catch up to them.
@[R3XN] ILLEGAL NAMES To be ignorant, to say such a barbarism ... being a pilot is something completely different from driving a truck ... to drive a truck you don't need studies. Instead to be a pilot if you require studies. -Physical -Mathematics -Meteorology -Programming -Reading of navigation charts -Learn by heart how to handle more than 500 situations in emergencies -Chemistry -ETC ETC ETC To drive a truck you will not need more than a year, on the other hand, to be a pilot CAPTAIN OF AN AIRCRAFT it will take you at least 7 years or more. So angry this plane is no more due to Russian aggression. She was a reallife Thunderbird 2 and such a beautiful aircraft. RIP Myrika. Gone but will never be forgotten.
It's actually Soviet, not Russian, since it was built in Soviet Ukraine. Props to that dispatcher, who kept doing his work till the very end of his life.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of the day the world was thought to end. It also could’ve marked 10 years since the original An 225 survived the end of the world in this movie had it not been destroyed :(
Gordon went from learning to fly a twin piston Cessna through a collapsing city to flying an Antonov in the exact same situation in one day. Gotta give props to him.
In this movie it’s the an-124 which is the an-225s little brother, They are identical the only difference is that the an-124 is a tiny bit smaller, and it’s also Russian
It was the first time when i saw that airplane in that movie and got devoted of it's *shape* besides some other giants like- *Boeing747*, *Airbus a380*, *Concorde*, *Boeing777* and were a literal fan of those airplanes as i were on enthusiast over big airplane vids most of those were youtube videos. I still remember that day when i used to seek here and there messing around my entire home to find the *CD* of that 2012 Movie only as a feelings for the plane. Didn't even know it's actual name or it's real-life existence as there was no internet in our house that time.
1:30 i love how they added the "fwauwawa" sound of the wind whoosing when the plane (you know which plane its not the antonov 225) passes by. small but nice effect
I love how they called it the Antonov-500 instead of the actual 225 MRIYA and reffered to it as "Russian, huh" It's pretty much a fictional Upgraded variant of the 225 that has the Rear Cargo Door the 225 did not have but the 124 did, and kept the original Soviet livery with the red stripes on the sides and the black bonet under the cockpit windshield
Shut up. Its Soviet (Russian). Ukraine is a shithole backward poor state, could never build or finance something like this by their own. The factory is in Ukraine, yes since it was part of The Soviet Union. Nothing more.
Well ass u dont know antonov was build in 1986 or 1988 i dont remember. That time the soviet republics existed. Well the mriya was given to ukraine. But yeah, also i think it was build in ukraine but not 100% sure. Also Слава Україні 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦
