Lego Batman speedruns are utterly broken 

We spent 20 hours practicing this speedrun. Im totally exhausted 😴

This game is so nostalgic, I would play it with my dad growing up. He did all the fighting and I explored the city.

“Nah, Batman’s doing his job, he’s being a bullet sponge!” That, would be his parents job.

LEGO Batman really brings me back to my memories with the PSP and this is my introduction to LEGO at first sight. Isn't that satisfying to hear the "brick sound effect" when a character builds something then the studs comes out as a reward?

Imagine being a criminal and hear someone say:"Take him to the Batplace"

This game feels way smaller when its being speedran. It felt like a massive world that I probably put hundreds of hours in when I was a kid

I remember playing this with my parents. This is so much nostalgia just from one video. It is so cool seeing all of this again and seeing the tricks to it.

Broken speedruns are always the best kind of speedruns!

The thing I like the most this video is that both guys are speedruning a game, but they are also enjoying it, they are having a good time, even if one of both screws a glitch or a move and even reset a level, they don't get frustrated or mad, they are also exchanging laughs and joke, one of them doesn't even play all the time and still he's having fun.... that's the face of a great videogame, and the bond of a true friendship...

0:33- 0:40 I remember it took me and my brother a while to figure out that it was easier to complete the disco floor on the Killer Moth level if you had one player drop out. Also, I tried to 100% this as a kid so, I was not expecting that you can instakill some of the bosses by having them walk in toxic waste or fall off screen.

This was the ever first game I owned on my Nintendo Wii. I played this Christmas morning with my dad.

Funny. He used the “hit me” clip when Batman zooms towards joker but the thing is batman never actually does. He swerved and ends up hitting the flipped car and falling over.

It's really interesting to me how different the different versions of the games are. I played the wii version, and the poison Ivy boss fight was noticably different (the wii version had a really annoying top down angle that gave me a headache) More importantly, the extended glide doesn't work in the wii version. Also, not sure if I was bad, but I remember that if you aren't constantly on top of harley, her dizziness resets, so I'd end up running after her for like negative infinity minutes

I loved this game so much as a kid, and it is awesome to see it get destroyed for the purpose of beating it as fast as possible.

minor timesave suggestion: make both players have a controller, and assign both to the SAME controller in steam remote play together (is this possible? i think so), then to switch between characters, instead of dropping out, switching, and rejoining, simply switch between keyboard/controller at the same time. Alternatively, have 2 controllers each, assigned to the same 2 inputs, and then switch controller to switch chars. This strategy is probably not faster when playing as intended (in the same room) since you'd have to exchange controllers physically. Also, don't use the switch character button in singleplayer mode here, it's likely gonna be confusing to keep track of which controller is which instead of just "batman controller" and "robin controller", and remember that *both* players have to keep track of that too, so one will likely mess up If you're just going for IGT (i would assume that's the way it's timed), you could also pause whenever switching, and it'd work to just have one controller each, simply pause and go to the remote play together window and switch controllers there. But isn't it just faster to not switch ever, and instead switch which player is playing alone? Like one player is always batman, one is always robin, and whenever you need only batman, that player is playing alone, and when you need only robin, robin's player is playing alone.

Statistically speaking crime rate stays pretty consistently up in Gotham with Batman around. Whenever he leaves crime rate seems to drop a bit.

I really remembered mr freeze, poison ivy, harley queen level and joker boos fight cuz both of us got stuck on that underground thing, and everytime we come out joker is just gonna zap us and drop us in there again lmao

btw you can skip those parts where it tells you what you got in the level. you just cant skip the one on the first level but all the others you can

You should speedrun this game called REFUNCT. It's a simple game but really fun to speedrun because of how precise you have to be with your movements even though it's a short game.
