For $60, this should be a two seater with Robin. Could easily be an extended speed champs chassis. Big miss imo! They jacked the price and added Mr.Freeze so people would buy this FOMO Freeze. And the wheel arches look like a kid designed them.

I am definitely using VIP points for the B:TAS Batmobile. It has less pieces than the 1989 Batmobile yet it costs $12 more. At least LEGO included an extra figure.

Missed opportunity to do an entire BTAS line and jumpstart life back into DC with fun playsets and great figs. The Batmobile is nice, despite phoning in Mr. Freeze without a backpack and generic black legs. And the price... should've included a car for the villains?

I understand that canonically the BTAS Batmobile is black but in my current rewatch of the show, most shots of the vehicle and dark blue.

My Pros and Cons of this news. The Cons of this set are those god awful ugly Stud shooters that are on the Batmobile. The color could be a tad bit darker blue or a bluish-black to maybe midnight blue or midnight black. The Pros of this set are that LEGO took into consideration that majority of the people who will be buying this set are going to be those(I'm one of them myself) who grew up as kids watching Batman The Animated Series back in the 1990s and the reruns of the show in the late 90s and early 2000s. That they were kind enough to include a display stand and plaque. as well as they gave us Dr. Victor Fries/Mister Freeze. In Closing, I really like the overall look of this sit and how the LEGO designers worked as best as they could to get an as accurate recreation of the BTAS Batmobile at this scale. And honestly I hope for the best and to see whatelse the LEGO designers have in store for the future.

I'm really bummed with the color decision on the Batmobile. I get what they were going for but it's just too bright of a blue, if they don't have a darker blue to work with then they should have just made it black. It's even more of a bummer due to the pricing. I might look into seeing if I can get all the parts in black and get the figs/sticker/etc through brick link.

Actually the Batmobile is the correct color. You can see this in the first episode. Batman however is in the wrong color. He should be a dark blue where it is black.

No it is canonically referred to in the show as "black." The art direction specified the use of blue highlighting (as is common in comic night scenes to represent moonlight) because unlike most toons, all of BTAS is drawn against black, and black against black is invisible.

For the Batmobile, I definitely like the smooth tiles on top being blue, but I think all the stuff underneath should’ve been black (or a darker color).

Nah, it is supposed to be black. If they wanted to add blue "cel shading", they should have included an optional sticker sheet.

The little 15 dollar mechs like that that they do always scratch a little itch in my brain idk why. I've never bought one but I think they look neat and this one is probably my new favorite of this sort of sub-theme

I feel like the Harley Quinn minifigure that came with my Gotham City skyline (the same one if I'm correct) didn't have terrible prints. Sure, they could probably be better but are a big improvement on the terrible print quality of the Apocalypseberg one

Noticed the bat mech has different hand style than the Star Wars chunky fingers. Does seem a bit slim compared to the ones I got but I still kind of dig it. Not sure if I'll get mech overload though, don't want to encourage this too much or I'm going to have trouble finding a place for them

I'm a big fan of the batmobile being blue! I get it's cannonically black but I think it works better in blue tbh. A nice break up from the constant black batmobiles. Wish they gave us Robin instead of Harley but then they probably would have had to make it a two-seater.

Mr. Freeze looks pretty bad to me. He seems so ridiculously oversimplified, no leg printing which he absolutely should have, and I also think he really could’ve used a special (or existing) neck piece to bulk up the shoulders.

Well I'm excited and also really annoyed with Lego. I am a big Batman fan and I loved watching Batman the Animated series years ago when it was first aired and I still love watching the episodes. So when I heard that Lego was going to be releasing a Batmobile for the series I was excited and still am. But I am really mad Lago for the price. It is $79.99 CAN. This is $20 more then their current 1989 Batmobile set that has 438 pieces. This new set has 435 pieces. That is three less pieces then then the 1989 Batmobile. Now some would argue It comes with a stand one extra minifig. But that would not be worth an extra $20 Can. I will still need to buy this set to add to my Batmobile collection. But the price is hard to swallow. The set just went up on Lego's site today🙂

Not the biggest Batman fan, would never buy a Batman set basically, and even I was interested in the Batmobile and the Harley figure is cute but the choice of entirely blue I feel like ruins the entire thing. I get the intention of it looking blue through the shadows and the stylized look of the show but if it's the first time this is being made as a Set why not just go classic black to just nail the look instead of showing how it sometimes looked?

Other than the colour and the price, I don't like that Lego just slapped regular speed champions scale wheels on and called it a day. They're too small for this scale and the designers didn't even try to replicate the inverted dish shape of the hubs. Think I'll just build my own.

Finally a TAS Batmobile, I wanted one since that $50ish Tumbler but why that dark blue. 😠 I will need a good deal on it to compensate for the spare part to turn it black.

I collect all the Batmobiles of that scale so I will be getting it. However the last few that they’ve done have been so overpriced that I haven’t actually paid for them, I’ve just used my VIP points to get them for free. I intend to do the same with this one.

The car is a mess. For the price I'd want something much, much, closer to the original. Wheels are out of proportion, the general feel is blocky (ironic, I know, it's Lego) - and there's enough incorrect features to make it look all kinds of wrong. The junior set is quite cute.

I like the blue, you can see the contours better. And because of the blue highlights in the animation style of the show, it's not an egregious departure from what the car should look like.

I think canonically that batmobile is very dark blue, the black in the cartoon is the shadow, not the other way around. Looks fine to me!

Nah canonically it's referred to as "black" in the show. It's black.

It's definitely supposed to be black. The animators painted the show on black paper, so they had to add blue accents to the edges of the car to make it visible. The base colour of the Batmobile is still black.

I really had big hope for the BTAS Batmobile, my dream has been crushed when revealed... The design is totally messed up, the bonnet is not long enough, the front is incorrect, the wheels have no design whatsoever and don't look good, the holes left by the shooters are horribles, the blue color is not good (should have been black), the hole to allow the cape to fit in is a big no no, the stand is irrelevant, the pipes on both sides of the hood are too flat, the middle part of the hood is not high enough. Ain't no way I am purchasing it, as I said : my dream has been crushed...

What's super weird is that the batman mini-fig has the black on gray suit. Batman didn't wear that until they switched TAMS to The New Batman Adventures. He had a different Batmobile in that version as well. The version of Batman that drove this car wore a BLUE on gray suit (and, yes, the car was black).

You are wrong. He has a grey/black costume in the 1st season as well. Only the inside of his cape was blue. On the New Batman Adventures, they changed the chest logo from the yellow oval to the black bat, gave him a dark grey utility belt instead of yellow, and got rid of the blue lining on the inside of his cape.

I gotta be honest. This set of releases is trash. The Batmobile looks goofy and the color seems too blue. I almost feel the need to buy it, so I can keep the collection and theme going, but this isn't very tempting.
