LEGO City Update - Airport Part 2 - Bags In, Bags Out MOC 🛬🛫🏹

Part 2 of the Brick Nottingham Airport build concentrates on the opposite end of the main terminal building to the jetway we did last time. Specifically I'm creating play features for the conveyor ramp out to the baggage handlers, a second conveyor bringing recently arrived baggage into the terminal, and the carousel where minifigures can reclaim their bags. I also add a restricted area, a check-in desk, a ticket booth and a long baggage car. Looking good!

Robin Hood Bricks i just realised. You should probably have the baggage handling underneath the waiting room at the gate. Maybe you should reverse what you did today so the baggage cart isn’t driving around the side of the terminal just to get to the plane. I’f you decide to do that then you wouldn’t need the stairs at the entrance to the jetway

I think if you have a white band of curved bricks in the ticket office then you will have enough stickered bricks. This could be a promotional stand that way the over the top stickers would make sense. The odd sticker could be liberated using the Shtum!!! HOT TEA TECHNIQUE to place on a tile as a ticket for a mini figure to hold at the check in counter. Fantastic!!!

Love it! Good mix of real and play features. You need to add an X-ray machine to check those bags going in! And you could moc up a scene with a guy sweating as he hands off his suitcase perhaps with something illegal inside.

For the baggage spinner try adding a ticker block like a round 2x2 brick so it’s easier to turn and it will stand out

You could use some number plates for the arriving luggage so that they can easily know the owner,add lights (orange looks great in my opinion,but it could be red) to the roadway,instead of having all luggage already accommodated,some worker could be accommodating them,two people crying (mostly cause one is moving to another country) and a lot more ideas,but I think these are ok for now,there are a lot of other suggestions anyway! I love how it’s doing,you’re great when it comes to building big things in small places

I like the new part of your Airport. I think, it would make sense, to build some capes under the arches. In real, there are also these flexible barriers in black, so that nobody can go into it. I think,you know what I mean. It would also be super cool, if the machine for the lugage would be a closed cicle, powered by Power functions or PoweredUp. Cool Video!

Great video and build Robin! I love all the play features that you've designed into this. Since you are on the 12 studs program, I'll send you some Lego because I'm an enabler..🤣🤣 I do also like all the amendments that you've done so far. I would possibly think of maybe moving the ticket desk maybe 90 degrees and have the lattice piece behind the ticket lady, thats if it will fit rotating it that way. I really love the added detailing of the modified plate pieces with the ladder. I think ir really adds some cool features to it and it looks airportish.. I can't wait to see whats coming up next. Awesome job my friend!

I like the conveyor belts and baggage areas, very cool ideas. I think, though, that they are much to close together. Could you put the baggage pick up near the room wall side. Then the security door with the departure conveyor closer to the cute ticket booth.

Robin, I am excited to see the completion of this airport, but I am enjoying watching the process! I thought instead of the ticket booth, you could make that section a small convenience store or magazine stand. Perhaps a duty free shop. It would look a bit better from the outside and I think it might be more appropriate than the ticket booth since I’m most airports there are simply ticket kiosks and you can also get tickets at the baggage check in desk. Maybe you could use those ticket stickers bricks for a row or kiosks.

If you build something different, I think a relaxing little garden would be nice. As for the airport I suggest replacing the yellow 1x4 brackets on the conveyor belts on the inside of the airport with the same pieces in light gray. Yellow is often used for safety or visibility in airports,, and less commonly used in areas where passengers will be.

It looks great Robin. I had an idea to accommodate the "plane wing"... Those large panel pieces used as windows would be the perfect addition to add along the wall just to briefly show that building does cut off at that point. Granted they will be windows on a wall but I think the illusion will work.

I have a bunch of suggestion on where to move some stickers. First the sticker door on the outside should be on the inside. The public will only be on the inside and with only employees on the ramp/tarmac, I think it is more appropriate to switch the doors. Also, if the hot tee technique will work on the other door may I suggest you put the do not enter sticker on the exit from security back to the unsecured part of the terminal so they know not to walk the wrong way.

The GPU looks awesome! I LOVE AIRPORTS! About the jetway, I have the feeling that there's only one set of wheels connected by an axle as seen in my very quick google images search...perhaps the T could line up with the front wheel as well? The baggage cart looked too organized for an airport in my eyes, but the interior looks really good, and I thoroughly enjoyed this video

looks fabulous as usual. I would maybe add a scanner for the suitcases next to the computer.. I would also add a wall to continue the door next to the transport belts. i also think a hanger or lockers would be fitting for the staff room

Try using part of the space beyond the jetway for some small planes that have mini figures boarding them and have the other airport buggy guiding one 🛬

Yeah, that ticket booth is wasted. Maybe remove that lower girder piece and turn the counter 90 degrees and have the other girder on of the booth...although it would probably be better to have the the ticket booth nearer the check in counter. Besides, usually next to the baggage claim area there is a hire car outlet, so maybe that would be better? Or perhaps it could be an Air Cargo pick up point where you collect your oversized luggage. Either way, I think the counter/booth needs to be turned 90 degrees and integrated into the support pillars

Awesome compact airport. Love the luggage conveyor belts. If you replicate the brick build slope from the inbound luggage on your outbound luggage then you could do away with the dark bluish grey technic bricks that weren’t clutching correctly behind the check in desk. I also wonder if the crisscross panels all along the front should be moved out by either 1 or 2 studs to give the industrial look to the building from the outside (also allowing more space around the ticket desk and luggage carousel)

I'm quite sure the Check-In Desk would be selling tickets in addition to help passengers to get their luggage on the conveyor belt, but it's still fine to get a ticket booth regardless. You should put some luggage behind the ticket booth to indicate that the arriving passengers still haven't collected them after having the carousel so cramped.
