LEGO Classic Town Light & Sound 6482 Rescue Helicopter from 1989. 192 pieces with 2 minifigures. Pretty advanced for the time. Makes 2 sounds and has flashing lights. Uses conducting plates to get the electricity from the battery box to the Light & Sound functions.

I remember having this set in the late 80s/early 90s. I loved this set and it was phenomenal at the time to have the light and sound feature! I have just re-started collecting lego again and have been very inspired to recollect all of my old sets from when I was a kid :) Great video.

My parents just sent down all my legos from when I was a kid. This set was in them and I couldn’t believe that the lights and siren still worked!!!!! My 9 year old loves it but I’m not sure who likes it more, me or him lol

I remember this set, still looks great today. I had the 6480 Hook and Ladder Fire Engine Light & Sound set. Looking on Bricklink it appears there were 2 sound bricks, one with space sounds and one with police sirens, this one being space for some reason lol

The white one is the space one, the black one would be more correct for this set.

Wow, thank you for this video. I just took my old Lego-Box out of the basement and didn't even remember what this battery box was for. I will make videos about rebuilding all of my 80s and 90s sets.

I'm reproducing this in blue and dark bluish gray. Mine, obviously, won't have the electrical box, so that space will be repurposed. :3

I have the highway patrol set with battery box. Just missing the lights. My sound brick sounds different though. Live how you placed him "gently on the stretcher" lol

Kevin F lol! I am not sure how many different sound bricks they made. I know there is another with space sounds. Could be a different siren sound too.

Classic 1989 good lego year [but i never liked toys with light and sound effects haha] Other then that great set :) And now i'm going to rebuild my big mitron set.
