Just got this last weekend at a good price. Worth every penny too because that jet is truly amazing. Looking around for designs on missles to add under the wings and maybe a Gatling gun for under the nose. But being LEGO I will just imagine it fires non lethal goop to capture whoever i'm going after. Have my personal minifig sitting in the pilot seat with his robot buddy TARS in the second seat.

Pls.. A fighter jet was designed primarily for war. No one uses it for expedition. They have to not include weapons ofc and color scheme close to a airshow variant. It's a cover by Lego, and still, target collectors, builders or Lego fans who might be into military vehicles

I love the exhaust detail on the chopper, utilizing the bottom of the standard 2x2 brick to naturally represent what actually would be holes.

AMAZING! Not only because of it's minifig compatibility, but not to mention the detail, the heads up display, engine wing shape, and u even don't mind the coloring on the jet, the other ones are usually yellow or some funky color that doesn't match but I could see this flying in an air show as part of a military stunt team, blue angels esc.

2:48 The way I see it, it could be a form of camouflage for anyone looking up. The white underside could make it hard to spot against the sky from the ground.

This is my favorite creator set, I suppose because I love planes, but also because it's so well shaped and functional. Dual cockpit that fits figures, landing gear folding up, flaps, and engine bay is just crazy good. I just bought a 2nd one so I can display one and play with the other:)

As an aviation nerd, this is my favorite Creator set of all time. It's just so awesome! It is fairly accurate to the actual F-35, with the only major difference being the shape of the two fins.

Great review and I appreciate you doing all three models. I didnt plan on getting this but after your review especially of the jet I have changed my mind and this will be my first creator vehicle set ever. What sold me was how the minifigures looked in the cockpit. Reminds me of the jet from the swat kats cartoon.

William short Film it is French Two seater, Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, i would not be suprised of someone did a recolour in like grey so it then looks like the F-35 Lighting II

Just built this, it's great! My favorite things are the minifig-friendly cockpit and the way the wings are built. And the way the wings attach is really satisfying, this is one of my favorite creator sets! Edit: You know what I just realized? Due to the colors, this would be a perfect jet for Captain America!

Never liked the look of this, til your review and you show it is minifig compatible! Now I really want it. Jet and Speedboat are my faves. Thunder in Paradise vs Top Gun/Transformers! Woo.

During my own building experience with this bit that most struck me as 'WOW, COOL' it was the way that the cockpit canopies are sloped to match the tiered seating, not level like 5892 'Sonic Boom' (which has it's own appealing features). The sloping canopies line up perfectly with one another, due to some creative building techniques in the nose area. This Lego model has great building techniques throughout with a great looking result!

Yup, nice looking jet. The nose on that jet is what should also be on the jet that is in the Training Jet Transporter set. It looks complete and not like an afterthought. Thanks for sharing!!!

Areodynamically for the arch on the boat, it's made that way so the if the boat was in real life, it wouldn't fly off the water.

JANGBRiCKS Wow, amazing review. I especially liked the sarcasm involving Star Wars ;) It'd be cool to see a MOC of the helicopter with weapons installations, different colors, and maybe some minor changes to go with the military feel.

In the helicopter, it reminded me of a Eurocopter Tiger nose, connected to a HAL Light Combat Helo body, with a Hind style landing gear (as both the HAL LC and Tiger are tail draggers).

I very much like the design, also like the color scheme reminding of some Blue Angels demonstration jet rather than a fighter plane. Also it is quite clear that it represents a 5th generation fighter in contrast to the CREATOR 5892 Sonic Boom plane, that incarnated a 4 or 4.5 generation jet like the Eurofighter Typhoon. Clearly a 9 out of 10, could even have been 10 out of 10 if they had implemented the fan hatch and the tiltable engine exhaust for vertical maneuvering.

Despite trying to not make this F22/F35/F14 hybrid look military Lego have given it fairly accurate stealth fighter shaping, and in the cockpit the green part isn't the controls. It's a digital gunsight. So they made an unarmed jet with a gunsight, live it.

Just bought this today. Will fit well with my F-5 Tiger II, F-117, SR-71, and my version of the Aurora Program TR-3. (All to scale to the Lego mini figurine) I am working on others like the F-22 and going back some to the F-14.. Lego not doing Military things is actually kinda dumb but~ Oh well, keeps us Master Builders talent sharpened. :)

The chopper looks more like the Airwolf(or Bell 222) mainly due to its tail boom which is placed pretty high, nose and sponson. Very cool set!

nice review. Thanks to your review I notice that this jet is a great set. The only thing a don't like is that the cockpits doesn't fit exactly to the plane, it has some mayor ventilation for the pilots.

Wow! I've been waiting for this review since you put up the Built in 60 Seconds of it a couple days ago, and this is the second review I've seen of it (the first was a written review), and this only convinced me more! In my opinion, I think the jet is pretty perfectly scaled for minifigs, as I consider minifig scale to be 1 1x1x1 plate width (the standard Lego unit):1 foot. Yes, I know that makes minifigs only 5 ft tall in their own scale, but considering how round of a number that is, and thus how easy that makes making Lego models accurately minifig-scaled, I'm more than okay with that.

In my opinion, the afterburner looks better if you flip the wheel so the other side faces back, helps just a little. I do agree it's the weakest part but man I love the rest! As for the helicopter, I think it looks a little like a Eurocopter Tiger

You messed up the placement of one of the white tiles on the tail wings of the jet. One is one stud closer to the end of the wing then the other😁

When in the jet build, the colours as a whole and the position of the stripes make me think of Thundercracker from Transformers. I'd like to see someone attempt recolours in white/grey, red and blue (Starscream) and Black, purple and white (Skywarp)

LEGO really needs to come out with some kind of Army line... maybe as part of the City theme? They've got police, they've got rescue forces, so why not military? And like Jang said; they already do plenty of violent stuff, like Star Wars.

I believe they did 3 variants of the f-35. One with a driveshaft from the main engine to the VTOL engine, another with longer wings and VTOL engine for carrier based operations, and one with just a regular engine outlet for ground strikes

Hey JANG, have you ever considered doing a video of you building actual military vehicle or artillery mocs that are to scale with minifies? It might be a good idea since you are very focused on realism.
