I hope you enjoyed this update video! Do you think this means we'll be seeing a LEGO Deadpool next year, in a few years time, or not at all? Also please help us reach 10k subscribers!!
Honestly, yeah. I haven’t seen Deadpool and Wolverine yet, but I have a few ideas for sets; Blind Al’s apartment, maybe the plane from Deadpool 2 with minifigures of Peter and Domino, and a set with Francis and Deadpool with a few side builds. All of these sets would probably always be on backorder, though.
No they wouldn’t "make BANK". Let’s brake it down: a Deadpool polybag would retail for $7.95. That means the stores would be paying no more than $5, although it’d probably be more in the ballpark of $3.50. That means LEGO has to design, produce, package and ship it for less than that because they still have to make a profit. They’d also have to pay a licensing fee, leaving even less room for profit. Now I have no insight into how LEGO operates, but with what I’ve said so far I have a hard time imagining them making more than 50 cents per unit in profits for a polybag. So they would have to sell a whole lot of Deadpools in order to, as you put it, "make BANK". Like, sell 10 million to make 5.
Lego Fortnite is extremely inconsistent, Venom and Carnage are only usable in T rated modes (so not in Lego FN) but we ALL know how much Lego loves to put them in their sets.
I would estimate Disney doesn't want to promote Sony's spider films (I think Disney has all toy rights for all Marvel characters, but I could be wrong), but they did a spider-verse crossover and Disney owns fox now so idk
If we can get the Punisher as a minifigure, I don't think another Deadpool is out of the question. My only fear is they'll put him in an expensive set and keep him fairly inaccessible. I so regret not getting the chopper back in the day. At least it means LEGO Deadpool will always exist in some form.
Maybe if they put him in a set like the Lego Marvel logo, then it could have that 18+ marking like what they did with the punisher, and it could be a set just slightly less expensive then a modular (like a hundred dollar x men logo)
@@Theworldisscrewed let’s hope z Punisher and Daredevil get more minifigs in the future and that Lego gets over the fact that the character said “Fuck” once.
@@NOUH-my9kq its kind of crazy, because both the punisher and daredevil have appeared in 18 rated films yet they have figures being made of them, but with deadpool they basically ban the character for being in a 15 rated film.
Lego's logic for mature characters is strange. Both Joker films were Rated R and Joker is still in sets. Not nessissarily the one from the movie but still. Logan was Rated R, Wolverine still gets Lego Figures. Carnage in the comics is not child friendly, yet he has two figures.
I dont think deadpool would really fit the x mansion. Feel like he'd be perfect for a mech. Every mech run should have at least one character people want but have no other real place for. Deadpool, punisher, howard the duck, squirrel girl, etc.
6:09 Fun fact, despite the perceived young player base Fortnite is officially rated T for teen, not E or E 10+ like most people think. This is probably why they can have popular adult characters like Michael Myers, Saw, & Deadpool along with the more goofy Fortnite original skins that appeal to a younger age demographic like Peely & Guff.
Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing are rated E. Fortnite Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale and Fortnite Festival are rated T. The modes have their own ratings. There are a handful of skins not allowed in the E-rated worlds, pretty much just Venom, Carnage, movie Venom, the Xenomorph from Aliens, the Demogorgon from Stranger Things and the new She-Venom and Agony skins. But neither version of Deadpool is on that E-only list, it's simply that Lego Fortnite doesn't have a Deadpool. Notably, DC has no Lego skins either, so it's likely a choice from Lego themselves. Even the new Gwenpool has a Lego Fortnite skin, which is amusing.
I just watched the special, I honestly thought it wasn't going to be good, but I very much enjoyed it, especially the MCU references. And I am begging Lego to make that Deadpool figure now, they can't just tease it and not do anything with it.
There have been depictions of Deadpool as low as TV-Y7 in the past 15 years, plus Punisher and Blade can be just as problematic yet they got Minifigures recently, so brand safeness clearly wasn't the issue. Maybe Deadpool's absence from Fortnite was due to wanting him to appear elsewhere first? Regardless: as far as a Minifigure is concerned, it's just a matter of them finding the right opportunity to release one, as with almost any character.
in the comics the X-Men want nothing to do with Deadpool and he was also a villain in the OG X-Men comics so yea they wouldn't want him in or near the X mansion.
Am I the only one who thinks that Lego Deadpool basically sneaking his way in the post credits is a jab at Lego for not putting him in anything Lego especially of it has Wolverine in it I mean seriously if they can make ECHO put her in a MARVEL blind box thing I don’t see why they can make Deadpool again even of it is a PG version of Deadpool like maybe the classic version of Deadpool from the comics or something and they can give him rubber chickens instead of his katanas
@@Cerri22PG yeah jokes on them I guess sigh one of these days I’ve got to get caught up on the MCU again whenever I get Disney+ back that is btw that whole thing about Deadpool with rubber chickens instead of katanas …… that’s basically from the Deadpool video game it’s one of the alternate costumes for Deadpool lol
I love how this special includes very obscure Marvel characters like Adam X. A 90s X-Man that appearead in zero media before this special...............
I think the best solution is a Deadpool advent calendar. It’s a kid-friendly form of humor to see Deadpool as Santa, but something that’s totally in character for him. Plus, it’d be a good way to get more of the characters from the movies, (particularly Colossus, Negasonic, Yukio), who otherwise would probably be too obscure to use somewhere.
I really hope this version of Lego Deadpool shows up in some form in Lego sets, because then I don’t have to pay $100 to get that merc with a mouth in my X-mansion
Wait but in Fortnite the FishPool skin that releases in 2 days does not have a LEGO Style again. Also the Venom skins are not receiving LEGO Styles, did they ditch LEGO Venom?
Next years modular will be the Baxter building, at least that’s what it seems like. Fantastic Four is coming out in 2025, and it’s really the only major New York superhero building we haven’t got.
@@just_an_elli Yeah that’s probably why, I’m just confused on why spider Gwen/ghost spider was there. Spiderman was in Lego shows in the past, but it’s still very likely this was all because of Sony lol 😭
Y'know, I soft-quit LEGO after losing my Deadpool minifigure, possibly to moving stuff around, possibly to a cousin who stole it. And losing out on a chance to buy another one. If they _do_ bring back the Minifig with a Mouth, I'd drop some cash on whatever sets he'd be in, fast.
Well, he isn't voiced by Ryan Reynolds I can understand. But why he isn't voiced by Nolan North is my biggest let down. Also I never understood why these Lego animated shows don't have the toy accurate legs with the openings for studs, which is something the Lego video games do.
It’s always weird when Lego refuses to make easy money. A new set with Deadpool could be insanely overpriced and still make a bajillion dollars. As someone who hasn’t bought a marvel set in years, I am a 100% confirmed purchase.
What makes this ridiculous is that if Lego is so worried about the mature rating of Deadpool, then why not make him PG? they can easily incorporate him and tone him down for marketing. If they can clean up his image for younger audiences then it’s possible for them to make sets about him, kind of like what they did for the groot series but instead a Lego Deadpool series
Carnage and Punisher give me hope, I don't really think he fits in the X-Mansion cause outside of the jokes in the movies and some special appearances he's not known for being an X-Men, so I still hope they make a Punisher move with him, or straight up ignore the rating thing and include him somewhere like how that have done with Carnage, despite his damn name haja
The deadpool face print looks like the cmf figure of sheriff deadpool's face print ngl a bit like this minifigure someone made with the cmf and original parts of deadpool ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RbewJHMLe4U.htmlsi=bumSp-B09hd3W4bC
Good reason to hate she-hulk even more...she's not supposed to break the fourth wall that's deadpool's thing, she doesn't need screen time when she has a whole show to herself oh right it sucks
I think the only reason Deadpool wasn't part of the X-Mansion is because that set was based on X-Men '97, a show that doesn’t include Deadpool (I've never watched it though, so please correct me if I'm wrong) Also, can we call him Lego Marvel Jesus?
1. The set isn't explicitly X-Men 97 based, though it is inspired by mainly the comics and animated shows 2. Deadpool does briefly cameo in the original X-Men 90s show, albeit briefly as a Morpho shapeshifting cameo
