LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters review! 75827 

What are your thoughts about this set, good & bad?

I think this building should be condemned. There's serious metal fatigue on all the load bearing members, the wiring is sub-standard, it's completely inadequate for our power needs, and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone.

How do you do that indidivual minifig showcase spinning thingy? Do you use some kind of gear or something? Maybe you could make a video on it :)

If this wasn't a 350$ set I may consider buying it. I understand why it costs so much, because of all of the detail, but for me I just want the exterior to the building to use as a fire station. Great review! I had no idea the back of the set was so ugly looking!

Which would you rather have, extra stability or lots of accessibility? You would have to sacrifice one for the other. Just sayin'.

Great review! But im a little sad that you didn't go over the Librarians leg piece in more detail, that leg piece looked brilliant with the clear and violet molded plastic, the way it was shaped also looked interesting! So I do wish you had taken more time to go over that piece in particular. But overall, that is my only gripe with this video! Great video though JANG :)

I think the hair piece for Lewis is perfect for the possessed version of him, but perhaps an alternate hair piece included would have served the set well for a normal version instead of the "contraption on his head" look.

The back of the building does look hideous. I oredered some 600+ extra pieces to fix that. And to make a slightly larger base for the building so that the base will continue all the way around the building. The amount of rebuilding was quite extensive, but worth it. Edit: I also removed the modularity so you can't remove the floors and added total of 9 hinges. Now the building is very sturdy.

I think this is a great set, but the price is a bit overwhelming

They need to make a Jurassic Park Creator Set. It will be the Visitor's Center from the original movie, one of the cars (maybe two), and the Jurassic Park gate. It will innclude: John Hammond, Alan Grant, Ellie Satner, The two kids, Ian Malcom, and the Lawyer. It will also include two velociraptors. It should cost round $250 - $300. We need to make this happen.

The times magazine only had three ghostbusters and there were only three beds. They are four ghostbusters.

Outstanding set, inside and out. I highly recommend the third-party LED lighting kit that really brings it to life! Putting a green light-up stud inside of the hollow area in Slimer makes a huge difference.

Honestly whether you like it or not Id recommend buying it. Its the largest set ever released, and there is a new ghostbusters movie coming out in a few months, PLUS they are doing 2 more movies and have already started the works on a new ghostbusters tv series, channing tatum is involved, plus many more actors/actresses, so its really a set that is only going to go up in value

WOW, an incredible amount of detail! The misses would never let me get this... so I'm living vicariously through these detailed review videos. ;)

The iffy back aside (which is a necessary compromise for the flip-open feature I suppose) and the precarious construction of the structure overall, this set is pretty well-designed. The amount of ingenuity on the construction of the interior design and furniture especially shows how much potential these construction bricks can achieve.

Great review. I felt the same way about the structural integrity. I hate seeing the gaps under the roof, I'm always pressing it back down. I thought it was fun to build, quite a big project! Enjoyed all the little rooms, kind of like building the Death Star.

I'm trying to objectively see what people don't like about this set. Maybe it's because I'm too old or too much of a Ghostbusters fan, but I absolutely love this set. The attention to detail in both the structure and references to the movies is especially impressive and really neat to see in a LEGO set. I will agree with you though about the integrity of the set. It's a shame they couldn't connect the Y axis exterior walls to the X axis interior ones. I think that would solve all your problems in that respect. With that said, the flexing in the building I almost actually like. I know it's not what they were going for but the actual firehouse was worn down and within a demilitarized zone. Perhaps I'm looking too far into it, but I absolutely love it. I do wish the Ecto-1 could fit in easier though.

I love all the amazingly intricate details in this set. However, like you said in the video that gap on the side is very annoying and it bothers me you can't fit the car in the building without removing things!
