That's a great use of this space! 2 suggestions to make this scene more fun and aligned with the tone of the city: have someone stuck in this pile, and have one angled container on the top to show one that is falling (maybe on the left where you have more space)
@Cyroid_1

Your right, he should do something like that.

The build is amazing! The detail and color variety is superb. I might be saying something sacrilegious here, but I feel the fort takes away form the entire shipping vibe. I love the port you built, but I feel the fort might have run its course in the city. I know you won't change it as you love it. Back to the build, the containers stack is superb. Well done.

This isn’t what I imagined when you’ve mentioned the container wall in the past. Its surpassed my expectations in a great way. It looks great in place, possibly slightly distracts from the fortress, yet then again some old fortress’s are found by ports… Maybe add some minifigures or workers in there, to add some more depth.

I would personally add a 2x8 brick on top of the Duplo pieces, just to hide the studs and help with stability.

Looks great, but I have one suggestion. Swap the regular blue and purple containers. I think it would make the blue one look better because it would be farther away from the blue water, and it would make the back corner pop more

A potential idea would to have one of Dr Infernos cargo crate delivered to the wrong warf… maybe the workers open it and something could goes wrong. You could also add a harmless one to Dr Infernos warehouse, and was mixed up with his cargo.

@RobinHoodBricks

@chrischristiansen6204
@chrischristiansen6204 Год назад
Very nice. I think the anchor coming down from the air ship near the containers is a happy accident that looks like they could potentially hook one. I think the colors were a good choice and have nice contrast with each other with the stickers adding nice bits of detail. The sky blue and the tank one next to it pop super well . One suggestion I can think of is having a longshoreman directing the nearby crane, perhaps from the top of the turquise container. That would further tie the container stack in with the surrounding builds. I think the opening doors on the turquise container could be taken advantage of by having one partially open with someone or something poking out, or even just the tiniest amount ajar, maybe with the grey handle thing turned a bit like it hadn't been turned into proper place to lock the door. Alternatively it could be paired with a boat or something beneath it for a small smuggling scene. Probably with something funny like donuts being taken. For a skewed container one might fit in the gap at the highest level. If it is turned vertically so its tipping it could create a neat thing for figures to be reacting to. Maybe with a hinge type piece hidden on the far side to hold it at an angle. Otherwise one built at an angle horizontally could work well if the stud ratios line up right to get a good snugness to the wall. For something with more height maybe clear bricks could be used to mount the very tip of another crane to look like its poking out of the white space on the wall. Not sure how stable it would be but it could be hooked to or be in the process of being hooked to the coffee crate. Or maybe its hooked to the crate but some string cable is just dangling over the side of the containers like it had snapped with just the bit of crane above. Either could make for good scene dressing for figures to interact with. If it wouldn't be such a pain to do and would loose a good container, the grey one looks like it could be removed to create a tunnel type passageway that may serve as a dubious access point to the fortress. ;p For a small docks type scene, a figure could have grey studs or something on their feet like they were given cement shoes. It would be a bit dark though without having it on a figure that looks like they could just breathe underwater or not be inconvenienced or a hero nearby to rescue them. Aquaman could work well in either spot and could then introduce some flying fish or other aquatic life involved with the rescue.

This facade looks great, I actually like your use of facades around the city. I appreciate your use of Duplo pieces. I've several small children in my family that I buy Duplo for and I want them to see they can still be useful even when they move on to more complex builds with standard Lego pieces. I know you must already have the rest of the facades planned out, but I feel like there should be a pub included. The longshoremen/dock workers need a place for a quick pop-in before they head home. Thank you very much for sharing.
