Today we will be having a look at the brand new LEGO Harry Potter D2C which was made to celebrate the 20th anniversary since the theme was first released. This set contains several life size objects and 3 three golden figures of some of the most iconic characters. This is the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons Collectors Edition.

The golden figures and the stand is the selling point for me. I collect the set and have the other 6, witch to me makes it more worth getting. The build look beautiful and can't wait to get it

Thanks for doing such a thorough and honest review. I was not sure I wanted this set until I realized how beautifully designed it was. Seeing how large it was in your room helped me see that it is truly a set worth having. Beautiful set and review!

Another great review Holly. Thanks for sharing your opinions on this. This was one of your best reviews by far with those short cuts of you playing with the set and useful for size references. So excited to be picking this up now! This looks great and I think probably one of the better hp sets this year (at least for adults). Keep up the great reviews 👍

Wonderful review, Holly! Polished, well informed, well edited and passionate about the subject. And you're possibly the only reviewer to mention both the HG initials and the full collection of golden minifigs. 10 points to Gryffindor! P.S. I love that there's something from each movie - 1. Letter, chocolate frog and Scarf, 2. Diary and Polyjuice Potion, 3. Wormwood I believe is in Remus's potion, 4. Gillyweed, Polyjuice 5. Umbridge's useless textbook and potion ingredients, 6. Felix Felicis, 7&8. Snitch from Dumbledore, Polyjuice again

I did not want this set when I first saw it on the Lego website, but watching your review of it, Holly, I now really want it! I love all the life-size side builds you get with it, and Hedwig does look gorgeous up close. I don't have much space and money, so I only want sets I know I'll display and use pieces to create my own Hogwarts stuff, but this one is just so cool. I really want it now, too! Thanks for another great video.

Good video,day one purchase for me.The main build is awesome cant wait to build that Hedwig.The chocolate frog is a cool bonus.The extra to me,that pushes this set to a must have is that minfig stand it lets you display all 6 golden minfigures from all the 2021 sets,its too bad Lego did not advertise that part more.I think many more people would buy it if they knew about it.Thank god for youtubers like you potterminfigpals,or else we would have never known that cool extra bonus stand existed at all.

Watching the golden figures I was thinking about the stutue in the Ministry of Magic. But then we need a golden Dobby and Centaur (Firenze?) as well. Great review. It just makes me sad we still have to wait for over two weeks to get this. But I'll be at the store at the first opportunity.

This set is stunning! I wish I could apologize to the designers, because so many of us had low expectations for this set.😅 I'm also kinda glad I never managed to pick up the old version of Hedwig, because that gives me another reason to buy this set! Now do I build a Hufflepuff scarf with my name on the letter or a Gryffindor scarf with Mr. Potter on the letter?🤔

I noticed that in the chocolate frog cards in the movie, the wizards on them are sort of 3D, and in the lego set, if you sort of spin it around, it looks 3D, but i guess it's lego, and lego is 3D. =) It looks amazing, and the hedwig looks soooobcute!

My favorite part of this that is definitely the bottles They just look really cool despite being so simple I would like to have so many more of these It would also be great to make a custom one for ether chloroform or something since I’m a huge medicalhistory nerd They would be just perfect for that

Actually very supprised that those giant plates are printed with how many stickered things there are! but I'm def not upset with it, but with that I'm curious how many other sorta simmilar spelling/other mistakes like this there are on prints or even stickers they've released?

AHHHH I love this set! It’s not Gringotts but it’s 100% a great way to celebrate the 20 years! I love all the builds and the minifigures are astounding, sorry SW fans… My only problem with the figures is McGonagall. The outside of the robes should have been the “shiny” part instead of the inside. But I still love the set regardless!!!

Contrary to the reviewer I'm of the belief that this set actually caters to a wide variety of people. I'm not a huge Potter fan but this is just such a displayable (is that a word?) set that I had to get it anyway. I also got the books for the same reason but that's as far as my HP collection stretches. So yeah, I think this set will allure both HP fans and general collectors. That said, if you're a younger builder and actually wants to play with the set I could see how you'd go with one of the more playable sets - such as one of the buildings - instead but I mostly see that as a priority thing - seeing how most younger people probably can't spend an unlimited amount on lego and has to prioritize.

My version of the set is the correct version in the end of Titilandos on the logo. The box and the manual are fixed as well.

They fixed the mistake in the Hogwarts logo on the letter. I got it this month with a discount (way cheaper than original price tag), but it’s now Titillandus like it should be. 18:45 19:21

Quite a lot, it’s around 4.2kg I think and is very top heavy because of Hedwig. Easy to transport though using both hands

Nice bit I think it's a shame they have the "draw" being the 3 golden figures and the chocolate frog stand... £300 for 3 figures and a stand to complete the other minifigute 20th anniversary stuff is a bit steep. Not everyone has space for a huge pile of books and an owl but they may have all the 20th anniversary minifigs/hogwarts bits.
