Hey every commenting about how the *Brain Glows* in the dark. Yes it glows, so very little that it's hardly visible, and it doesn't last. Off-camera I charged mine with a 400W white light bank, and then with a UV light at point blank range, and in total pitch darkness it was still very faint, and faded in seconds. It's shown at the end of my Surge review -- soon as I turn out the UV light, it fades almost instantly. ****Please thumb up this comment for others to see***
This guy is incredible. I built him on LDD after he was revealed at the various toy fairs and I'm glad to see I got most of the details correct (the black Technic connector in his back is the only part I seem to have gotten wrong). All in all, it's a brilliant exploration of the Hero Factory building system and a quite remarkable set on its own. Not to mention a good parts pack in its own right. Whoever designed this set deserves a round of applause.
I`M A HUGE FAN OF YOUR VIDEOS! Before I buy any set, I watch what you have to say about it. I recently bought this set and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although, I have to agree with you, it is DRAMATICALLY smaller than the show version. But, it`s still a great set.
Great review. When I watched William Furno's review on this set, I was surprised when he mentioned that an XT4 main body was included in this set. Since the beginning of the year I planned on making Surge and Evo XL forms using their Brain Attack masks after doing the reviews on them. I'm thinking maybe getting 2 Dragon Bolt sets to create the Surge XL MOC based on the combination model. Also, the Brain in this set glows in the dark. I wish you could have showed us how that worked.
I'm looking forward to getting this guy as I am a huge fan of dragons, I didn't get the first wave of brain attack because I didn''t like the idea but this guy looks awesome.
It looks good for the scale they chose, though honestly I still wish he was larger. Maybe not true scale, because that would be a monstrous build, but at least bigger than his current incarnation. Awesome review Jang, thanks
Hey jang, you should set up dragon bolt and jet rocka hanging above your city on some wire and have them set up so they look like they are about to clash in a big showdown
iIactually agree on the mechanism, the ones from the first wave was lacklustre and boring but this one is amazing and just livens the figure. Awesome review man.
Overall it looks pretty decent. Not as large as we all expected, I feel, but I'm glad to see a bit of the functionality that early Bionicle models had worming its way back in to Hero Factory.
here's a challenge for you jang make a lager form of the Dragon Bolt (aka make a Dragon Bolt moc) make it look more like a dragon and it's wings may need to be a bit bulkier or in other words wings needs more parts
I really do not like how the wings look, so I am going to fix that with some mocing skills. I thing I will fix the body too. I already ordered Stormer online for only 15 bucks. pretty cheep but I like the set. Thankyou for uploading this, it gives me something to look forward to.
hey Jang i need help.On bricklink I can't find the katana sword that's in the dragon and I don't want to spend money on a set with just 1-4 pieces that u want. thanks
I found it and it is AWESOME!! think you could do a how to with the dragon bolt + surge moc that you made? and don't worry anyone including me will give you the credit for it because yours is the original moc
@Legolang from the promotional images, it stated that the wave 2 sets will be released in August and now it already released? Why when it is only just May...do you see other wave 2 sets as well?
I had to upgrade his tail. If you place a hero against this thing, he is tiny! If you have the witch doctor from series 3, put him in a four legged position. That's what he should have been like! He should of been huge with a tail, wing and head etc structure of witch doctors legs. Overall he is awesome !!!
If i could build Striking Venom (The big Exo-Force spider drone) when i was 5-6 years old, then an 8 year old would have no trouble with Jet Rocka and Dragon Bolt.
