LEGO Indiana Jones is Ending.. 

Indiana Jones is my favorite franchise. I'm thankful to have gotten all the sets from this wave and a few of the originals, but I'm really disappointed Lego isn't taking more advantage of this license. It has so much potential. Really hope it continues

This is pretty sad. I often enjoy Indiana Jones over Star Wars, and I would kill to have more sets based off the films

That sucks so hard. This was literally the highest quality wave of sets I remember LEGO releasing ever. There is so much that they could still do, even with just a set or two a year. I really hope that we get something every couple of years or so at the very least, even though it's probably not going to happen. What a tragedy.

While I will be very grateful for LEGO deciding to bring back Indiana Jones for 1 wave, I still feel like this is just a massive disappointment, especially with how one set went unreleased and there's a lot they could've touched like the Temple of Akitor, The Venice boat chase, The Ark chase from Raiders, and probably even a new Shanghai chase.

Not only does this suck for how high quality the sets were, they also sold insanely well when they first came out. Most lego stores in my area were selling out of all 3 sets within the first few hours of opening, and trying to find them at walmart or target was always impossible. The demand is definitely there. What a shame :(

I think it might be because Dial of Destiny flopped royally at the box office

I'm sorry to see this end so quickly - there seemed to be very little support or attention given to this line. I got the Last Crusade Fighter Plane Chase and it's an absolute gem - a great and creative build, fun minifigs, and at a perfect price to boot. LEGO should consider offering more sets like this.

LEGO is truly in their flop era, early 2010s LEGO would never do this.

This is depressing. The original Indiana Jones theme was one of my favorite themes of all time and this new theme had so much potential. So sad to see Lego canceling it soon.

I’m really disappointed it’s over, I was looking forward to having more retro-style vehicles and play sets. It’s also a shame the theme flopped because I thought they were actually pretty well priced (for the same price as a jedi starfighter you could get a car and fighter plane).

A shame because here in NZ, these sets sold out during their first release. Local stores only started restocking them around the release of the movie. I also assumed they sold really well given how amazing those prices are on the sets especially compared to other LEGO and Disney releases.

Oh come on! Why would they do that? I would honestly love to have Lego sets based on the new movie and older films. Damn.

As a massive fan of Lego Indiana Jones, I knew this was going to happen.The box office failure of DoD combined with Disney's lack of faith in the IP means we can rule out more sets or a video game giving the franchise the Skywalker Saga treatment. I'm incredibly grateful that we got 3 incredible sets instead of waves and waves of mediocrity (looking at you Star Wars and Harry Potter)

The only hope I have is that Lego so how well the sets sold and will decide to make a D2C for 2025. Sometimes D2C sets get a release every other year like what’s happening with LOTR. Maybe, just maybe, Indy can exist in that space. But then again…TOD hits an anniversary in 2024 so it would’ve been a perfect time to put something out. I’m really sad about this.

We all probably thought this would be but damn is it sad. I really wanted to get like the venice boat chase or the trials set or a big d2c of SOMETHING but with the temple not being a thing and then that whole rumoured dial of destiny wave being very weird and not happening it seems like disney themselves pulled the plug on the push for indy. What a shame 😔

I love Indiana Jones and I loved all of these sets. It’s one of the only times I’ve ordered a whole wave of sets right when they came out, but three sets just never felt like enough. Obviously the Temple of Doom set would have helped round it out, and although I understand why it probably didn’t get put out, it’s still a real shame. Every time I see the leaked picture I still wish we would have gotten it. It’s also very odd to make a wave of sets to promote a new movie while also having no plans to make a set based around that movie. It’s honestly really disappointing but at the same time I’m glad we got some sets instead of nothing at all, I’m glad we got more variety in Indy minifigures with the Last Crusade figure, and the Temple of the Golden Idol set is really amazing. Even if I’m not holding out hope for anything soon, maybe we will eventually get more sets for anniversaries of the films, if anything.

I think it's sad but I'm actually not that surprised. It was weird to cancel the Temple of Doom set and nowadays there's more focus in Marvel and Star Wars and all the other themes than Indiana Jones, wich is a shorter franchise. Glad I could get 2 of the sets that came out at least.

Indiana Jones disappeared for over a decade, then returned. Who’s to say it won’t come back in the future!

As soon as that temple of doom was canned, you know this theme was canned already. It's sad. Lot of potential for a ton of remake set's but at least i got my three set's. I don't know what disney has planned for indy moving forward but the whole franchise just seems to be dead atm so without a push of some kind of media, this theme will probably stay dead for years to come and it absolutely kills me. Indy means a lot to me especially the lego's. I loved that original run, best day's of my life and when we got a little taste of a comeback, it just felt good so to see all this go away again, sad.

Shame we didn't get any sets for Dial Of Destiny, that 4th of July parade scene would've been perfect as a set!

What a waste of a theme revival this was. So many potential sets they could’ve made, only to release 3. It genuinely makes me so sad, Indiana Jones was the license I wanted the most to come back for years, and it’s already over. At least the sets they did release were great, and I was able to get the 2 small ones, but still a shame

You really shouldn’t presume that Dial of Destiny’s performance is why we won’t be seeing Indy again. Remember, this film was made to be the last one.

It does suck, especially since there is still so much they could do with this theme. Maybe sometime in the future they'll change their minds and give us more sets.

I think a reason is that lego indiana jones just doesn't work in 2023, with all the military, and religious references, put that with lego, who will cancel a set just because that vehicle is used by the military, indiana jones doesn't fit the lego brand. Another reason could be that 2/3 sets were mainly marketed to younger builders, who probably don't know who "indiana jones" is. For example, if i asked a random kid "what is Harrison ford's most famous role?" They're more likely to say "han solo" rather than "indiana jones". These kids didn't grow up with indy, they grew up with the sequel trilogy or the mcu. We definitely should've seen the writing on the wall, this reboot was destined to fail from day one. I only picked up the lost tomb set, but might get the Golden idol on clearance. R.I.P lego indiana jones 2008-2009, 2023-2023

That’s too bad, however I don’t think it’s due to the new movies box office. We only got three sets that were only based off the originals which were popular and tricky to acquire during its release. It might Lego having another dumbfounded reason to ignore the franchise, I really hope we at least one set a year at the very least

My first LEGO Indiana Jones today was the last crusade set from 2008. I have way more LEGO Star wars toys with my first being the 1999 version of Luke's landspeeder

Well that sucks, Indiana Jones was such a big part of my childhood with the sets and game, would have loved to have seen more sets made with newer pieces and better minifigs :(

And they seen how much people wanted them too. They went out of stock the first day. All 3 of them.

Its kind of crazy they bothered making a playset wave at all if they cancelled all of of the sets for the new movie and the temple of doom. Would have probably made more sense to just release the 18+ set and nothing else, but maybe the other sets sold really well what do I know

Ironic to me that an IP that got 2 video games got so few sets. It was only 4 waves in total right? Including this year's sets. I'm sad that the temple of Doom set got pulled bc that was the only one I wanted

So much for that cancelled Temple of Doom set that will never be released. There were a few times where “cancelled” sets were just delayed, but this is certainly not the case here.

Honestly, I'm not shocked, but I am disappointed. Indy has never been a huge toy brand like Star Wars is. This is terrible news though, I love the original three films and wanted more... but I guess we'll have to settle for the three we got.

FFS I'm so pissed about this. It's so annoying that Jurassic World and Harry Potter get so many sets with no new movies and just remakes but Indy has so many potential sets to be made but we get nothing. I'm glad we got a few sets but it's a joke the way Indy was treated this time by Disney. They didn't market the franchise well, they didn't build up hype and then they were shocked that the new movie didn't do well. Of course it didn't do well! Compare this to Paramount in 2008. Even if you were a kid that had no idea what Indy was, you couldn't escape the hype and build up to the new movie. There were so many Lego sets, action figures, games, books, comics, cross promotional stuff, adverts, trailers, etc. There were kids and teenagers this year that had no idea what Indiana Jones was because they had done nothing with the series in almost 15 years

I'm wondering if Disney had a hand in this decision...

Disappointing, I kinda saw it coming with how small the wave we got was, but It's still sad that we won't be getting anything else.

Thus wave kinda felt like a starter course and I was really hoping for more sets next year even though I'm not surprised they've ended the wave agian so soon. Still a massive shame though.

To say that the Indiana Jones franchise is full of potential great sets which could appeal even to people who are not Indy fans, is an understatement. It's a much, much better theme in that regard compared to, let's say, Marvel. Such a loss for Lego and most importantly - for us, the fans...

Can’t say I’m surprised

Waited 15 years for 1 measly wave of 3 sets, and a 4th canceled☹️ still grateful LEGO chose to give it one last go for old-times sake.

It’s so sad because the potential that this theme has fits perfectly into LEGO’s wheelhouse; action features, iconic locations, vehicles, great characters, a bit of nostalgia Just maybe not the damn Nazis… I hate those guys

Well. Time to order the old minifigures and some pieces to make my own Temple of Doom. The older sets look pretty easy to collect but most of them have at least one or two rare pieces in them.

This could make a grown man cry…

Kind of odd we didn't get an set's for thr nee movie,and even if Lego doesn't want to do anything for that movie at least remake more classic set's....Lego has been making some really bizarre choices lately especially since Avatar are still getting set's even though most people won't by them now and the next movie doesn't come out for another 4 year's at the earliest

Man this is lowkey heartbreaking. Grew up playing the lego indy games and I love all of the movies including indy 5 and its so tragic that my favourite theme is getting cancelled again. The sets in this wave were pretty great but theres so much untapped potential yk :(

i find this baffling-- i was already confused why we did not get ghostbusters afterlife sets either. i was confident we 'd get a wave of dial of destiny sets like they did with kingdom of the crystal skull-- but they didn't even make sets for that movie either. man, this sucks. :/

I am still happy that LEGO brought back the theme for a few sets. I like the builds (especially the Temple of The Golden Idol) and if this is the end of Indiana Jones sets, I can at least appreciate the three we got, and the amazing designs for the minifigures.

When will the sets retire?

The latest Indiana Jones did not bomb in theaters. It was thrilling and amazing, I can’t believe that a lot of people have different opinions about how good the movie was. It blows my mind tbh

Hooray! The less licenses the better. Maybe we can finally go back to the Lego of the early 90s (with all the advancements in building techniques, colors, and inclusivity of today. Just no licenses like it used to be)

Something I knew for months but it still hurt to have it spelled out to me. No new Indiana Jones sets next year, several for Blue People Avatar and Harry Potter (the latter hasn’t even had a tie-in with an upcoming film in the past 5 1/2 years, 12 if you don’t count Fantastic Beasts).

Super disappointing. I mean I’m glad we at least got some sets since I used to be unsure if LEGO Indiana Jones would ever return. Already have 2 of the 3 and might have to complete the wave if this is going to be it.
