In depth look the treatment of minifigures from two lines produced by The LEGO Group. Using measurable features to do the comparison rather than subjective opinions. #lego #starwars #legostarwars #legominifigures
The moulds Lego have made for Dreamzzz are insane, and the sets are so creative! I feel like Star Wars is stuck in the remake phase and it’s so grey overall it’s hard to be toooooo inspiring
I agree, Dreamzzz is amazing as far as the parts and design go. Unfortunately for Star Wars they are stuck in the IP box. Not only that, fan expectations make that box even more confining. Thanks for watching!
For me, dreamzzz is a case of quality over quantity. Yes, the numbers are lower but some of the minifigs are insanely good. Like the Nightmare Shark ship is completely stacked. Izzie and Mateo both have cloth accessories, both have dual molded legs and full prints (aside from arms), dual face printing, and really cool accessories. A similar story is seen in the nightmare king. Three unique figs that are at least 9/10 for me. Also worth mentioning that, on a quick count, Star Wars got 25 sets with minifigs versus dreamzzz, which got 11 (excluding polybags and any weird promos/regional items) I like both themes, though, and really want dreamzzz to succeed as i think the sets are pretty much excellent all around
Definitely agree on the quality vs. quantity. There is definitely a difference in design philosophy between the Ninjago and Dreamzzz themes versus SW, Marvel, etc. Ninjago gets about 3-4 new villain figures each year but every single one of them is typically a banger. Same seems to be true of the Dreamzzz minifigs.
I've bought a bunch of Dreamz sets. Was worth waiting till they dropped down in price in the sales. The Space Bus and Shark Ship are awesome. Was able to fill up the Shark Ship with extra nightmare creatures from buying other sets.
Agreed both of those sets are super fun! I am with you on waiting for the prices to drop, there is rarely a good reason to pay full price. Thanks for watching.
@@waltherltd I saved $100 on the Shark Ship and $50 on the Space Bus. As well as a bunch of the others on sale prices. Waited for Grim Keeper to go on clearance and got him really cheap.
I’d love to see a video with your take on the oft discussed “decline in quality” of Lego pieces, whether it is cracking pieces, mould marks, color inconsistency, etc. is it a real problem or does it just seem that way?
Let me first say I am part of the Lego starwars community and it’s my favorite theme but some of the people in the starwars community are hall of fame complainers all they do is bitch about sets and are always extremely negative. This is mainly a product of big RU-vidrs like mandr brainwashing their young audience by constantly reminiscing on old nostalgic sets and bashing the new sets for minor little things. Starwars is still the cream of the crop and is trending up I get having preferences on how things are done but the amount of backlash about minuscule details just makes me embarrassed to be apart of the starwars community sometimes. Great video showing this 👍
I appreciate what you said in the video, but please stop using those transitions and weird camera angle, they genuinely don’t add anything to the video and get annoying
Isn't it great that we can like different things? Also yes, if you build MOCs that require different colors, the Dreamzzz sets are a gold mine. Thanks for watching.
