Some excellent details and techniques! Really makes you think even more outside the box. Absolutely inspiring, as all of your work is! Thanks for sharing with so much of the thought process too!
This is a very impressive design using the hinges and the 12x3 wedge plates and results in a beautiful and unique building. I love the colour scheme as well. I wonder if, like the original Brick Bank, where it extends over the laundrette, you could have extended the bank into part of the upper floor over the bookshop for e.g. the manager's office. The vault could be there as well, or have the vault in the ground floor at the back of the bookshop then the main part of the bookshop could be upstairs? Still I do love this building, thanks for sharing.
thanks. using 3x12 wedge plates do not actually end up with a full quarter circle. a diffrent angle piece is needed. I also didn’t want this to be a different version of the brick bank with a laundromat. Some decisions were made as I went along with experimenting with the build 😊
Stunning build! Completely unrelated, but the curved-wall technique gives me visions of the round towers for an absolutely monsterous sized renaissance castle...
Magnificent MOC Kim ! Seems it has been a big challenge to have a nice curved facade. One of your best projects IMHO. Blends nicely with your other moc's. Color scheme is fine too. Bravo.
Fantastic MOC!! My only complaint is the cramped interior. It would've been cool to have the bank vault on the ground floor. Otherwise, great build and amazing front facade!
Kim you are a genius! Fantastic build!! I love the shape and I adore the artworks and the way you framed them. I was thinking, the grey wall behind glass on the ground floor of the bank could maybe be a currency exchange? You could break up the wall with a row of clocks or a screen showing exchange rates. Amazing job👏👏👏 I cant begin to imagine how difficult this was!! Great job! Why aren't lego hiring you yet😊
It would make a bricklink design submission, and hopefully one day an official Lego modular. The wedge plates would bring some new building techniques to the series.
Wow, this is a very interesting MOC! It definately fits well with Leco's modular building, cause of its similar stile. Nice decos, cute flower stand, I love that little place in front of the bank entrance. And inside the SPACE is used very efficently. A roof cafe sounds nice - but wouldn't it be a security threat for the bank?!?
I'm so sorry for not seeing this comment sooner. Thank you for the feedback. Yes, a cafe would be a security threat but with so many burglars in LEGO, it's always bound to happen that the bank will get robbed sooner or later 😄
I Love your bank, perfect or not. The colors are maybe a little to muted (a dark orange for the bookshop or colored windowsframes for the bank?). The riff could have like a rooftopcafe or something...to add to the bookshop? But it is absolutely awesome as is and i am looking forward to future mocs🙂.
@@brickartisan I’ve honestly been hoping for you to design something like this for ages! I couldn’t figure out the math, and you are the best of us all at this!
