What a nice fundraiser! Dig the nails! 😆 I like the overall shape of the wolf, but it’s a huge miss to not have fully articulated hip joints. Like, a running wolf doesn’t stick its legs to the sides! 😣

This sortof reminds me of the Lego Vikings sets a while ago that had these awesomely shaped animal builds.

I love the sharp 90° angle at the top of the torso here. It helps to make it look very beast-like, as simple as it is. It sort of reminds me of set 30591, where the simple 45° rotation of the body makes the mech look like it's ready to just tank a hit. I do wish they included something to cover up that orange "seat" at the front when there's no figure riding it. It would've only taken like 3 pieces.

really interesting silhouette on this one. I particularly like the ears. The gold is a little tacky but shouldn't be hard to replace. Speaking of replacements, those rear leg attachment points need one too.

I dropped by the stream yesterday and I immediately thought "I hope we see a review with those nails". Great review as always Jang!! You're always the standard I follow in regards to which sets I should buy! :)

Also Jang your a legend to not have shame because you have colored nails. Its even better than nothing on it and its totaly normal. Only some people dont want it to make it normal but never let you tell what your need to do. Your one of many legends who have no shame to be normal like me😃

Strange, they could've just used a 1x2 ball and 1x2 socket in the rear like they did in the front. It would not even change the design at all.

I thought it would have been hilarious if you just went about the review and provided no context for the hands :D

Love the nails! Gotta say though, the wolves look waaay cooler in the show. Needed to have more bulk and more gold, maybe even some trans pieces for its chromatic aberration effect

My nitpick is with the coloring : In my opinion the orange saddle should have been dark red and after so many years, Lego should offer alternative colorings or any color for the grey/black mixel joints/ tow ball system, each piece only comes in only one color. As long as Lego still is ahead with its piece quality and consistency of friction they should join their competitors that already started with alternate coloring, just imagine the organic tree, wall ship... - structures that could be made or how stop-motion makers could benefit of the broader movement range and higher friction compared to clips and the other current hinge pieces available.

Yo Jang, those nails look rad! You should paint them up more often, it's a great look.

Definitely gonna pick this up, probably gonna put mixel joints on the back legs. But everything else looks solid, very lore accurate.

Lego really need to increase the number of colors they use for the ball joints. That light grey always looks so out of place.

One again, I’m disappointed that the brick built critter does not articulate enough to fulfill the two other (of the three main poses) poses that you want out of a critter, those being: laying down comfortably, and running (or flying if they have wings). The ratchets for the hips confuse me.

Honestly I'm fine with the limited articulation in the back. It makes it easier for kids to pose and the front legs and head have enough articulation to pose him in diffrent stances and show expressions.

I feel like this set a prime candidate to buy a few post purchase upgrade. Mixels joints on the hips would be dead easy. Then adding some to give he wolf elbows and a full size ball joint at mid torso would do so much to improve this little guy.

Why didnt they just use ball joints for the rear legs?

I'm definitely considering this set sometime in the near future simply because it's a giant brick and ball joint based Wolf/Mythical Giant Canine and I just love the color scheme for the villains this series. Plus it's definitely very sleek and jagged while having a swooping curved design that very much makes it feel like it's Anime/2D Boxy Sketched designed. Honestly kinda reminds me of Monkey Kid animation design with how sharp and edged yet smooth and sleek it's outline and individual sections are shaped and the spread out of the colors. My only complaint aside from the rear leg joints on the hips is that they just can't get that muzzle right with just how limited they are with the sive and stud length and height they have to work with to not have it too big and take up too much space and awkwardly chunky. I feel like they just really need some specialized Mammalian head pieces like the plethora of Dragon head piece molds they've made over the years. At least for the jaws. Other than that, just the very starved and skeletal mid torso is the only thing I'd change and like to see better. Plus ya can't really argue with that price because this things pretty huge next to Minifigures and most Hugefigures. ☺️🐺 Also, just be sure you don't use those nails for taking apart Lego Pieces otherwise they WON'T look hood. Too bad they're not the Ninja Signature colors. Something to think about for a future fundraiser.😅

I dont really watch Ninjago anymore, but i definitely want this set, i love wolves and red and black are my favorite colors too. Only thing is the wolves face looks a bit odd to me, but im ok with it as this is only a $20 set

The imperium Sword is one of the best Sword molds LEGO has made. Would be nice if you could get a spare one in each set like the katanas! Pity about the hind legs and mid-section, other than that great set. Minifigures are fantastic!

I got it for 22 AUD or roughly 15 usd, compared to where I use to live these prices are really good

The head build is great, but I'm not a fan of the body, if i get it I'll definitely mod it

I love the new uniforms for the ninja this season. However, the hoods seem to flat and plain and they kind of bother me.

SHould have gotten ELVES molded wolfhead. The build one just looks flat and not very show accurate. Its also should have got canon on side!

There's absolutely no reason for the legs to not be on ball joints. The set is small enough that stability surely couldn't have been much of a concern. Huge miss on this and I can't fathom how this made it through the review process with such a poor design choice.
