LEGO Passenger Airplane (MOC) - DuncanAir 

Thanks for the compliment! My inspiration were the 1960’s narrow-body four-engined jets ‘Convair 990 Coronado’ and ‘Boeing 707-300’.

My inspiration was the 1961 American narrow-body airliner Convair 990A ‘Coronado’, and its distinctive overwing fairings to the engine nacelles. The interior was inspired by the Boeing 727-100’s mid-cabin galley. I hope to build a wide-body like the A340 soon! Thanks for watching!

I procured all parts from either 'LEGO Pick a Brick' or 'BrickLink' - the cockpit and tail are from previous generation's sets - the fuselage is made from 'bow bottom' (8X8X2) and 'bow top/door (8X8X2 ) parts, that are still available to date. Thanks for watching !

The inspiring set was “Passenger Plane” (#7893 from 2006) and the pieces are: • Airplane Bottom 8X16X2 (part # 4284001 or 6148303) • Bow Bottom 8X8X2 Ø4.85 (part # 4284002 or 6353713) • Cockpit 8X16X5 W. Glass (part # 4288459 or 4569524 and 6038466) • Rudder 2X12X8 (part # 4521912 or 4288464 in blue) • Plane End 8X16X7 (part # 4284009 or 4521911 and 6148314) Only “Bow Bottom” (currently #6305468, in blue) is still in production. The other similar pieces would be from “Passenger Airplane” set #60262 from 2020.
