I NOTICED ON BACK OF BUILDING- GRAY PANELS LOOKS LIKE A CLOSED DRIVE- THROUGH WINDOW (REAL DRIVE THROUGH AT BACK WOULD BE IMPROVEMENT TO SET, ALSO FIGHTER SHOULD BE LADY OR HAVE 1 OF EACH M/F, I ORDERED THE FEMALE KICK- BOXER MINI TO GO WITH MY COPY.) NEW FISHING STORE (IDEAS- 2017) IS AWESOME SET, NOT MODULAR BUT SAME LARGE- SIZE SET. I READ THIS BUILDING WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED TO BE 'AUTO DEALER/ SHOWROOM', LATER MODIFIED TO BE RESTAURANT, WHICH EXPLAINS ALL LARGE CLEAR GLASS STYLE SO ITEMS OR AUTOS INSIDE CAN BE SEEN MORE EASILY- I THINK THEY SHOULD MAKE THAT BUILDING FOR NEXT YEAR'S MODULAR OR MODULAR PARKING GARAGE (METRO PARK STYLE).
I'm actually a big fan of the little businesses and little rooms with different themes. I especially love the assembly square because theresjust so many different rooms that are entirely different themes. Cafe, dentist, bakery, flower shop, photography studion etc. I hope they continue doing more buildings with different businesses. However, i do see the appeal of one big building dedicated to a single business, i am a big fan of the boutique hotel and police station.
I think the instructions alone are a bit more than a pound of the packaging weight. We as fans tend to put far too much emphasis on "price per piece" and whether or not it is big vs little pieces. The designers don't actually work that way. They work off a parts budget that is largely measuring price per kg. Which is a much better way to look at it.
To all Lego investors, I'd reccomend picking up as many of the 2017 Lego starwars Awing fighters. They are temporarily out of stock but they are normally $40 and are already selling on eBay for $60!
That is pretty much the only way I do it now. If the big set never goes on sale, I only end up with 1-3. If the set goes on sale, then I end up with a lot more.
I don’t know why you keep talking about open space and room to do your own stuff inside these buildings when the overwhelming majority of people want their LEGO to remain exactly as designed with each brick in its place. You said in the beginning video on modulars that these are aimed at the AFOL and not for play by children so stop talking about room to add beds and having a mixer or party in your diner. If you want to ”play” in your building then make your own. Moc a dance hall and have a party! Also if you want to putt around town in your Prius or whatever you drive then go for it but don’t start talking about the 500 hp sports car being useless and for showing off, some of us get plenty of use and fun out of driving a powerful car and wring every last ounce of that performance out of it regularly.
Interesting points. I really like the new Dinner set. I have seen others build it as a mirror of the instructions to make it fit better. Thanks for the video.
I might be speaking out of turn, but I've seen a ton of very inventive and intelligent uses of small lego spaces - I'm sure people could find ways to throw some extra beds and furniture into those spaces.
NICE WEBSITE BY THE WAY, #2 BEST RESOURCE ON COMPUTER NEXT TO BRICKSET. BRICKSET STATS ARE MOSTLY ACCURATE, BUT REAL EBAY PRICES HAVE SOME VARIATIONS ESP. WHEN IT COMES TO CLASSIC USED SETS. NEVER SEEN SO MANY TYPES OF STATS FOR LEGOS, ALWAYS KNEW ABOUT METRIC PRICE PER PIECE FROM BRICKSET , BUT NEVER HEARD ABOUT AVG. 'PARTS PER POUND'. ANYWHERE I CAN FIND DATA ABOUT TOTAL NUMBERS SOLD FOR LEGO SETS (LIKE RECORDS KEEP TRACK OF MILLION COPIES SOLD, ETC.) OR DOES LEGO NOT KEEP TRACK OF SUCH DATA & STATS(?) MOST PRODUCTS KEEP TRACKING CURRENT NUMBERS SOLD, AND I FOR ONE AM VERY INTERESTED TO KNOW THESE FACTS...
I like the idea of your stats but mixed units make it confusing. Piece weights in grams, set weights in pounds, sizes in square feet [sic] or cubic feet. I guess you're in the US but most places now use metric.
@@Brick-Life Then buy legitimate non-Lego brands (I have 0 problems with it). Besides, LEGO holds it's value, Lepin does not. Lepin was a quick way to make a buck by a Chinese con artist and giving con artists money is unethical as much as letting a robber out of jail is. Every dollar sent to Lepin is one more dollar LEGO (or another legitimate company) deserves. Doing the right thing is always worth it even if it costs you 4x the money.
Can you *please* just appreciate it as a set and not talk about aftermarket prices and so on, I find it really annoying because people like you end up running down stock which in the long term means the ones you bought could have been appreciated a lot more by someone else
you're really concerned you can't put beds in all of them. people that are actually into lego want the inside detail. you complain about how much they charge, are you absolutely serious, rhetorical. you clearly are not worried about insanely marking lego up n cost yourself to a third party. one probably shouldnt hoard children's toys for profit.
People who invest and resale Lego sets aren't 'hoarding children's toys," they're providing a valuable service. The more people who invest, the lower the prices are. Besides, if no one invests then it'd be impossible for people to get retired sets. Him buying a 'children's toy' isn't preventing others from buying that exact same set so your argument is ludacris. Besides, most children don't play with the Lego Modular series considering the recommended age is 16+
stupiddumbtard79 You clearly have no sense at all. At least you were honest in your username. Lego investors aren't hoarding toys, they are investing. If you think investing is of bad moral, then you will be a financial failure.
