Lot of weird comments about pricing. It released for $350 USD for 2812 pieces, now going by raw piece count it seemed overpriced. However if you consider the actual number of large pieces, special pieces and variety of colors used, along with the 10% Star Wars tax, it made perfect sense and was reasonable. Comments like “it doesn’t look good, I can’t hang it”…. 😅. It’s a play-set folks not a display set. All this set needed was about 250 or so finishing parts to round it out. As of this writing it now goes for about $750 USD on EBay new and sealed. $350 was a steal in comparison.
Mines mounted on the wall with 2 thick copper wires through the wall bracket and the 2 central technic pieces. Rock solid and I have some small blobs of blu tack holding the loose panels in place. It looks so much better on the wall.
I dont think i would dare hang the UCS Falcon up like that. The frame looked like flexed alot more than when it was supported in the center bottom just as it was put down the first time with the suspended demonstration. Probably safer to go for the coffeetable option or a semi free hanging shelf with enough support on the underside.
PRAY FOR ISRAEL. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE IN HIS HOUSEHOLD? THEN PLEASE REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS TODAY AND SURRENDER YOUR ENTIRE LIFE TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. NOBODY IS OUT OF THE CANDIDACY FOR BECOMING A CHRISTIAN.
Titanic was a fun build .totally hated helping my son build this the falcon .ATAT 2:38 had a few spots were it was boring .but the falcon was the worst one I have ever helped build .and yes we’re do you put it it’s huge
Going off your comment that Cafe corner is inspired by a danish building i took the opportunity to try to find the building that may have inspired it. I first looked at Billund Denmark which is the home of Lego. After failing to find similar buildings i looked into Aarhus Denmark which i know is the city with the building Jamie took inspiration to build assembly square from, but this also wasn't too fruitful. Lastly, i looked into the most populous cities in Denmark before settling on Aalborg which has A LOT of buildings that look similar to cafe corner on the street corners. The most similar one was was on 27 urbansgade which i already thought was the most similar looking before I realized it also had a cafe! It's called fru roome. Could the building be the exact one that inspired Jamie Berard all those years ago? I'd say it's possible.
According to wikipedia, the designers of the green grocer supposedly wanted to give it another design iteration before release but ran out of time. Now unfortunately the link to the interview is dead so i can't verify it but i'm actually really glad they weren't given more time. Green grocer is practically perfect and is actually a pretty good representation of late 19th century queen anne architecture
Cant believe how flim2it seems. Its £100 off atm and was tempted, but given how huge it is and how much flex it gives im not too manic about getting it.
I've never seen your videos before, but I just got a suggestion to see it (I've just bought my Falcon a month ago and can't wait to build it). I just want to say thank you so much, and I really appreciate the advice you're throwing out here; truly going to take it into account before building... in fact, probably going to build the coffee table first before the set!
I'm actually a big fan of the little businesses and little rooms with different themes. I especially love the assembly square because theresjust so many different rooms that are entirely different themes. Cafe, dentist, bakery, flower shop, photography studion etc. I hope they continue doing more buildings with different businesses. However, i do see the appeal of one big building dedicated to a single business, i am a big fan of the boutique hotel and police station.
Almost 5 years since you made the vid and your pet shop is worth over $200 used now. Market cycles mate. Buy during the dips and sell during the pumps.
Indominus Rex alone on eBay is worth $30 on average without shipping, how does bricklink sells them for more? Either way picked up this set two years ago I believe on eBay for 87 shipping included.
