They made a Moe's Tavern but are debating on whether or not to release it to the public because minifigs don't drink but I would LOVE to have that iconic building.

And anyway, what's up with this idiocy of not releasing a tavern because Lego is also for kids: first of all, kids these days don't watch Simpsons, they watch some other cartoons and most people buying the Simpsons sets are actually grown-ups. And secondly why ever think that children are retarded... children know what alcohol is and they know what a bar is. Their parents drink alcohol and and go to bars. And they can see all this on TV. Children are very observant and definitely not stupid. They know what alcohol is, who drinks it, and that they're not allowed to. I think it's time to stop making these idiotic decisions that paint the world pink for somebody who doesn't need it anyway. And thirdly why would it ever be wrong to have a Lego bar, but it's not wrong to have all those aggression themed sets like: Lego Castle (people killing each other), Lego Pirates (Pirates were ruthless thieves, murderers and rapists), Lego Star Wars: the Empire is nothing else but a Nazi-/Communist-style dictatorship who doesn't even shy from committing mass murder in the form of blowing up whole planets, but they're presented as being cool-looking Lego's. (and no, nobody wants or likes the rebel-packs, those guys are boring. except the X-Wing and the Millenium Falcon) But hey, a little bottle of fake-beer will ruin our kids... jeeeez the hypocrisy

JANGBRiCKS Try to buy those sets here in Brazil... EXXXXXXXtremely expensive. Usually 3 times more than in USA.

alexthegrape1000 if all the sets were like this, then most people would buy like one or two sets every year and Lego would bankrupt... the set is great, but the money they want for it is through the roof. Only a limited amount of people will ever buy this set just because of the pricing... I mean come on, with the money you spend on this set you can buy a new laptop and that thing doesn't just stand there, it can actually do lots of things!

I did a quick search on Amazon in Germany and it was about 280€!!! and with 280 I can buy a nice 11inch notebook that I can use for my study and take to the library, to courses etc.. Or I can add another 100€ and get a decent all-rounder. If i want to buy the Simpson's House as well I will even get close to an ok-ish gaming-PC. Don't get me wrong, I love Lego and I think this set is great, but they're quite an expensive toy, even if they have replayability. Maybe they're even overpriced, even though a lot of AFOLs would go mad at this statement. At some point you're just going to build something and then it will just be forgotten somewhere and gather dust. It's something for collectors and traders though, which is the reason why it's so expensive in the first place. But at the end of the day it's still a plastic toy that can't do that much.

***** No: you can get a nice 11inch Intel dual-core notebook with 5h of battery-life, 500GB etc for just 220€ in Germany. Good enough for anything you need at the university and on the fly (train, air plane, stupid waiting...) as long as you're not an architect or graphics designer :)

katamari84 They're not lazy, at all. LEGO designers work harder and longer on a given set than you can imagine, and they have to contend with a ton of constraints almost nobody ever recognizes. Each set is given a budget, and that budget cannot be exceeded, else the set cannot be put to market. If every minifig was all new, it would likely have required a portion of interior detail to be removed.
