Both Astons should have been dark turquoise with neon yellow accents!

that G-Wagon is so accurate even the driver is accurate to real life

They included a Karen minifig with the G Class :D Thats perfectly accurate

I'm not even remotely a Mercedes fan, but the fact that Lego made a more "regular car" double pack instead of another freaking set of two seater performance cars is awesome. While I would complain about modern pricing for the single packs, this set is actually a really decent value, given the G Wagon's impressive size. I could certainly see the G Wagon being worth $28 by itself, and plus $17 for the convertible makes $45 of value. And the cars look very good, can certainly be modded to look like other cars, seat 7 PEOPLE in total with cargo space in the G Wagon, AND have front engine detail for the first time ever. First day buy for me.

even if the Lamborghini and Mercedes sets don't exactly represent the original shapes of cars, I like them because they look very fresh

I totally agree with the Aston Martin's color; Dark Turquoise should've been used instead, and I have totally no idea how it's approved...

As a Aston and Mercedes fan, the twin set is perfect! Now I can recreate Stroll getting a safety car after he collides with Piastri for real...

The Mercedes packs is arguably the best in this wave, considering the amount of stuff you get for price and overall looks.

Other than the Lamborghini and the G-Wagon, a really big letdown considering how good the first wave of 2024 was. They set the bar really high and failed to match it. And the color inaccuracy honestly feels like a big middle finger to the LEGO community, considering how much it ruins the set, on top of the fact that the cars are already out in different sets.

Honestly I think the McLaren formula 1 car and the ford mustang dark horse are the best speed champions for this year

I am so exited to see you build and review the cars i already like all your videos and i love them because you review and also build the sets before the release as nobody else reviews sets before the release

Love Speed Champions - gotta catch ‘em all! Seriously, these things tend to look much better when you have them in hand, so I’m looking forward to the detailed reviews.

That colour in the Aston Martins are the same shade as Aramco Green effectively. The Safety Car in Saudi 2021 I believe had that exact shade of green. Overall, the sets are cool and interesting choices but I think for the Lamborghini set it should be a Reveulto purely because that will sell like hot cakes and is much more desired. There are no new Mercedes cars except from the standard AMG GT. As an F1 Fan, I love the new Aston set but I understand why the general audience is disappointed.

I absolutely love both the Lamborghini Vision And the Mercedes Double Pack. All three cars look absolutely awesome in both of these sets as I will be happy to get both. The Aston Martin Double Pack however is basically two same vehicles we have seen before, might consider getting it. Another great video as always, thank you for providing this to us!

Didn’t feel like waiting on the reveal so I went ahead and got them at the Walmart near me and can I just say 🔥🔥🔥 love when they put the sets out early

Very happy see AMG in Lego. As I’m a huge Mercedes guy myself, currently owning a 2021 CLA 45 amg. Excited as I can make my car as a moc using that set especially with the engine bay shown with the amg logos.

I have the Mustang Dark Horse which is in my opinion the best of the first wave of this year... now i am coming for that G-Wagon... it's beautiful!.

I don’t normally buy Speed Champions cars as I only own 1 of them, but I really like the futuristic look of the Lamborghini. I’m definitely gonna pick that one up.

As a big F1 fan I actually didn't notice the color discrepancy until you pointed it out. Actually, I'd buy the set for the safety car alone but with addition of an F1 car it's a great one to have together with the McLaren and Mercedes from two years ago. Now it's high time they made a Ferrari...

Speed Champions are always a pretty fun build- so I'm getting all 3 sets. Really looking forward to the G-Wagon (need something huge to put next to the Bronco)

I’m very excited for the Lamborghini and Mercedes! They look amazing and I think they stand out from the usual speed champions lineup. As for the Aston Martin, my first thoughts were “oh it’s the same two cars we’ve already seen, now in green”.

Accuracy aside I really like the Lamborghini, and Mercedes 2 pack. It's really cool to finally see proportionately large scaled civilian SUV build in Speed Champions line. Closest up to this point was the Bronco Trophy truck from a couple of years back. Definite buys for sure. Going to past on the Aston Martin pack as it's the least interesting and as said almost to similar to the original 2 car pack only real difference being the F1 car.

I've actually got my eye on the Lamborghini and the Mercedes 2-pack. The Aston Martin 2-pack may be something I get around the holidays as I need to catch up with some past releases like the Countach, the Lotus Evija and the 1970 Ferrari 512 M and the Pagani. Yeah Speed Champions has been a nice little break from the massive builds I've done in the past. Your review of the Ford Dark Horse got me to buy it.

I only just realised this but they redid the vantage’s grille it doesn’t use those teeth bricks and more and also there is a different back part of the wing on the F1 car

As an Aston Martin fan I did buy the McLaren, I can’t wait for the AM set to come out but I think it would be cool to have a “mini race grid” with 2 McLarens and 2 Aston Martins

Looks like March 2024 was the end of my SC collection. Which is fine, I'm running out of space in my parking garage. 😁

Ill wait till you have these in hand B, but its only the merc pack interesting me at the moment. I like my speed champions to recognisable on display, the lambo would have to be explained unless your a GT player. Great video as always B.

I will say, the green color of the Aston Martin F1 looks more blue on the box than it should. That's mostly because the real life car is metallic green, and when photographed outdoors, this color tends to look noticeably bluer because of how much the sky color reflects in the paint. In contrast, gloss green paint (or plastic) doesn't do this nearly as much. I saw someone learn this the hard way when trying to paint their car in a nice forest-y metallic green, only to be greeted with something that looked so much more turquoise when it left the paint shop. The Aston green certainly leans a little bluish, but perhaps they should have color corrected the picture on the box, to reduce the additional tint of sky reflections that pull it even further away from the LEGO green. It doesn't help that blue sky reflections often look more extreme on camera than in person, where your eyes can better differentiate what's going on and "correct" what you're seeing. Ferrari famously painted their cars orange at one point to make them appear more accurately red on TV. I guess Aston doesn't care to paint the car specifically to compensate for a similar type of issue. I heard (though I dont have the source) that Aston Martin personally selected the regular LEGO green as the color they wanted. I imagine it is closer to the true paint color than it appears. You'll also notice on the F1 TV info graphics that the color for Aston is actually pretty darn green. Though ironically, none of this fixes that the toy doesn't really look like most images of the real car... lol.

The Gelendevagen suggests a “lift” of suspension and larger “MT” wheels... well, something needs to be done with the hood lid :)

I like them a lot. Admit i would choose for lambo the new revuelto instead of the concept. The aston colours are way off, but i think it was the best colour they had. I collect them anyway. Yess aston fan here

I think Lego is really doing the best for improve on new models, these new sets look prety interesting and absolutely they will be on my collection

I am an Aston Martin fan and yes that pisses me off, the colour should be dark turqouise, and the driver should be Fernando Alonso ... i am still thinking if i would buy this Lego set. And as an Aston Martin fan i say proudly Lego did a beter job on the Mclaren F1 set than on this Safety car and F1 Aston Martin. Also congratulations Lando Norris for his first win.

Thanks for the preview review. I think I'll only be getting the Lambo. I wasn't getting the Mercedes 2-pack because I buy these for the racing cars, but I'll pass on the AM 2-pack because of the inaccuracies and repetition.

I honestly don't like any of them but will probably grab the Benz set, or at least the car alone, so I have more yellow pieces.

The G wagon is the only speed champion car from all of 2024 I actually want. For the first time since the launch of speed champs I have not brought any of the sets yet.

I just knew something was off about the green of the aston martin!

Although I am quite disappointed in the summer range overall (especially the aston's colour), I see a lot of potential in moc's and improvements by the community

is there a 3rd wave for this year? i only got to speed champions this year and i don't know how they manage their car releases etc.

Well I am happy to get 2x5 new wedges in plain black. Been waiting since its appearence in dark bluish gray.

as a gran turismo player I'm mostly excited for the lambo vision gt, they should keep adding more cars from gran turismo by introducing a new brand like suzuki, and no it's not your typical maruti swift instead what car I want them to add is the suzuki escudo pikes peak special.

the lambo is the only one in this range that interests me. The Mclaren perhaps was so good it raised the bar for what I want an F1 car to look like. Combined with poor colour choice (I don’t care who approved it, personally it irritates me), and forcing a double pack purchase means I’ll skip until maybe a deep discount. Same with the Merc double pack.

Ngl I know the dark green of the Aston martins are completely incorrect, I still absolutely LOVE that color, that green is gorgeous and I think it looks fine. Also I will most definitely be picking up the Mercedes double pack, that G-wagon looks AMAZING

The Lamborghini Gran Turismo is my favorite, and did you know that it was a concept car based off of a video game and Lamborghini only made 1 of them

The yellow Mercedes looks like a Dodge Viper.

Why didn’t you build and review them? Also in one of the images in the Mercedes sets there are engines and the hood seems that it can be opened

I’ve been waiting for the Aston Martin f1 car for a while I already got the Mercedes and McLaren’s the Aston will look nice in my collection even if it’s similar to the mclaren

G Wagon is not so interesting, but I love the green formula car. (I am not a F1 fan so I just don't see it as problem :) )

Would have been nice to see an Ineos Grenadier instead of the G Wagen seen as there is already licencing in place for the formula 1 cars.
