2024 Audi RS6 Performance Review: The Best of All Worlds 

I suspect Dougs next video will start with: This.... is the 2024 Audi RS6, and its mine!

At least Audi didn't decide to go down the same road as AMG and give us a 4cyl RS6.

It's happened. Doug has gotten to the age where kneeling doesn't feel so good. Rolling chair is much easier on the old joints.

The RS6 GT has that paint job because I believe it is a throwback to an IMSA Quattro car that won a lot I think.

I don't see how cars in this segment keep getting called subtle . It has 22" wheels and sounds like it has a V8. People aren't going to think it's a $55,000 wagon.

There's no way this car looks like a sleeper. It's actually a beast if you see it face to face.

THIS is still my dream car. Swap out the 22" wheels for 20"s and you have a nearly perfect do everything car.

IMO that RS6 GT looks incredible. Going to go down as legendary mark my words.

I've spotted a couple of these in the wild. I can guarantee when you are driving this car around, 99.99% of people have no idea you're driving around in a $130,000 car.

I work here at Audi Beverly Hills and we get so many RS6s in on trade. Always a super fun and practical car to drive. I had the luxury of being able to delivery a few of the “Bronze Edition” RS6/RS7s when we got them!

That RS6 GT livery is very similar to the audi sport ur quattro and the 90 imsa gto

I received a call from a local dealer a couple of weeks ago. They had one of these in stock and invited me to come check it out. I presently drive a '21 Porsche Turbo S Sport Turismo, so I'm definitely a high-performance station wagon person. So we went out for a test drive. I've previously owned an RS7 so I was pretty familiar with many aspects of the car. The salesman was disappointed that I wasn't blown away by the acceleration, but it actually didn't feel quite as quick as my present car. Still, it was plenty fast. It had the optional steel spring suspension, so it was neither as comfortable nor as adjustable as my present car. With the engine where it is the car will still understeer when pushed hard, just like my old RS7, which also had the sport suspension. Still, my present car will be going off warranty in another 18 months and I'm keeping my eyes open for a replacement, so this was a very interesting prospect. Until. I started talking numbers with the sales manager, who informed me that they were asking $50K over sticker, which brought the car over $200K. They offered me a "discount" of $15K (I've bought cars there previously) but that left us at $35K over MSRP, so just a little shy of $200K. That's the price range of my present car, and in my eyes it just didn't measure up. I like the stealthiness of my present car, whereas the RS6 is much more "look at me." The 22" wheels of the RS6 seem like overkill, and could I ever find snow tires for it? So my take on this car is that it is indeed a very fast wagon. At MSRP or close, I think it's a good deal. But for almost $200K, not so much. Looks like I'll be keeping the Panamera, and perhaps looking into an extended warranty when the time comes. Or, if M-B brings back the AMG E63S wagon...

Love the channel as always Doug. As much as I love this C8 Performance, I wish you would lay your hands of the C7.5 Performance. That is the greatest RS6 ever. Just so much more soul and sounds so much better. Too bad you didnt get it in the NA. Cheers

Actually looks very sleek from it's side view.

Those big massive wheels with negative profile tyres might be the reason for that harshness you feel while driving changing the profile tyres for thicker ones might help mitigate that

Not since the Magnum SRT-8, CTS-V and E63 AMG wagon have I lusted after a wagon of any kind! Beautiful car!!

Here in europe this is about as badass as it gets. I see a lot of people using this one not as a family car but as a company executive car used for work and towing stuff, best thing ever

Calling it right now. The new Gemera will be the highest dougscore to date. Its the opposite of the Audi RS6. Instead of a family wagon with sports car performance it's a hypercar with family wagon practicality

The paint scheme on the GT is a homologation to the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO, pretty sure the design was made by some students working for audi as a project

You missed talking about the automatic cargo cover.... but more quirky than that is the cargo net to block stuff from moving from the trunk into the passenger area (kind of like a window shade for the cargo to block it from the precious passengers.

Your reviews are always well-prepared and detailed, unlike other car review channels. I like your choice of words - brutally frank but not offensive. Like "Tremendously small". I was somewhat disappointed that the ride wasn't adjustable to a soft cushy ride.

I rented a regular one in LA recently and I have to agree, it's a perfect all around car, and ticks every box. This one had the air suspension spec'd and I found comfort mode was more comfortable than I was expecting. I would totally opt for air suspension on this over the adaptive dampers.

I prefer the half analog gauges with maps screen in the middle, but it is interesting even on the top of the line 2024 RS6 you don’t get the full cockpit standard

SUCH an epic car!! As for the wheels, Audi USA’s build too, allows you to select the more subtle standard wheels. Although they are only 1” smaller at 21”.

It’s not the only game in town… the Volvo V60 Polestar is a close competitor and it’s a plug in hybrid with full electric capabilities. Not as fast but arguably as cool and more practical.

Hi Doug! Well, this is one of the best cars ever made for sure, also it is, despite being harsh is still comfortable and more civilised than the 63 AMG which, as far as I know is the proper hooligan and way more difficult to drive but more fun, however you need to know what you are doing with that beast whereas the RS6 has far more help to the driver and even if you put it to its limits the car will make you feel like Ayrton Senna instead of killing you. All in all, being an expansive car, it worth every single penny. Could be very well my dream car ❤

you also get a better rear diff with faster and more percentage of lock up and fuully adjustable shocks if you go for the steel suspension.
