The droids and little lightsaber holder are nice additions aswell. Got this and the boba and Han carbonite transformation set aswell. Those two got me hooked on collecting minifigs. Went through them yesterday and now my son's hooked aswell haha
On the lego website it’s retired but now it’s $80! Edit: I would still buy it any day of the week for that sweet sweet ani figure and darth vader, and because it’s super rare now that it got retired like I already said.
1:12 that’s not poor printing, that’s how pad printing works. Doing a second print would create a lot of smudges and look way worse especially on those smaller details. Source: I work with pad printers.
@@alessandrogandola8355 Haha yeah I still watch his videos (I’m not even subbed) but geez this guy complains about anything even stuff that he’ll probably forget in like 10 minutes or something. It’s a kids toys and I just enjoy what we get lol (not even a kid,I’m a grown ass man)
The Darth Vader Transformation set was my favorite lego set. I got this set as a birthday gift in 2018, and I love it. In fact, I still have this set up to this day!
Disney: noooo Jedi Fallen Order is too violent for Lego (even though it's already heavily censored by having no dismemberment) also Disney: orders Lego to make sets based on one of the most gruesome scenes in the whole saga
I agree. Especially during that scene in Obi-Wan Kenobi (SPOILER ALERT) ....when Reva slices off the hand of one of the citizens. And yet LEGO is still inclined to make sets from Kenobi. Also I did not expect such a ballsy move from Disney to include a dismemberment scene.
@@danielt.9586 this is the most un-Disney move Disney's ever done, the Kenobi show wasn't that good but I do see some hope on the horizon as in they finally allows dismemberment again now I wonder where that M-rated Star Wars game is...
@@peabrain6872 some people hate reva and hate how weak obi-wan is with some few flaw moments here and there but don't worry, the show is good for the most part with only minor mistakes and the people who didn't like it are in the minority as most fans loved the show. episode 3 was by far the best one and what everyone ever wanted since the end of revenge of the sith.
I remember getting this set when it came out from my cousins after I had gotten out of my surgery, I still have the set and it is a nostalgia piece and a classic I will cherish forever
This was the set that got me back into lego starwars again started buying slowly and slowly like maybe a set or two a year. Still don't buy a lot but did spend like $200 for may the 4th for some sets I wanted. But I remember seeing this set at Walmart and my friend and I were talking about lego star wars sets we had and we both picked up a set I think he got that dark trooper battlepack with 2 normal stormtroopers. I always wanted a palpatine figure and wanted that darth vader transformation set from revenge of the sith and all those sets years ago.
I think this set is awesome I bought it ages ago and I made a stop motion of it a while back I think the mini figs are awesome and it is rlly good for stop motion
I only have 2 Star Wars sets , a tie-fighter microfaghter and this set seems to me one of the best star wars set set soo far . I can't wait to get my sets : Obi VS Anakin duel on mustafar and Obi VS Vader diorama , from the new series Obi Wan Kenobi , to make a nice and big moc .
@@peabrain6872 the only things he spelled wrong are microfighter and so, and just by one letter each. It's not his fault that your brain is pea-sized and you can't handle misspelled words correctly.
The original was my first ever lego set so missing out on the rerelease at the time bothered me so as soon as it was gone I managed to find a K Mart selling their last set before the store was closed. Really loved the set
Man you really sold this set. I bought it in 2017 just for the minifigs and never built it. Now I get to dig it out of storage and act out the scene. Great review!
Damn, I had the 2005 one as a kid and remember dropping my Vader minifigure just before the 3rd act in the cinema, was wounded but got it at the end. Ima need to own this version someday, baller looking set
I actually got this set for my birthday in 2018 I believe. I was mainly excited because it was my first Darth Vader figure who is my favorite character in all of Star Wars
Really missed out in 2017. Would’ve really liked to get this, Obi-wan’s interceptor and the fighter tank from that year. Unfortunately was in my lego dark age from 2015-2020
Missed out this set. Back then I only collected vessels. Have palpatine's shuttle though, with the same play feature inside. But, like we all know, that isnt movie accurate and the set you just reviewed pretty much is.
I had this set back in 2017 and it was interesting. It was the very first time I got a Darth Vader minfigure since he always was in pricey sets before. I prefer this transformation over the 2005 one
I actually got this when it came out and I’m glad I did (this was before I got fully addicted to lego again and have a bunch of sets on my bedroom floor)
Damn i got this set, lemme just say… the minifigs; vader, palpy, and battle scarred ani all for that cheap was insane! I wish i got some more to stock!
