Thank you all for the comments. I have never seen a RU-vid comments section with so much support! I apologize if I can’t reply to all of your comments individually, but know I read them all and greatly appreciate the feedback.
Love how you used the original phase 1 helmet for the ARC Troopers to make them stand out from the rest of the clones! Amazing work all around, it was worth the wait!
This is definitely one of the best brickfilms I’ve seen in a while, the animation and effects looked really great. And I’m a huge Fordo fan so I always love seeing more of him and the boys in action. Awesome job :)
This reminds me so much of the earlier stop motion animations back in the beginning years of youtube. This is truly what I used to think they all used to look like back then. Fantastic work!
Fantastic work, I played this on a large TV multiple times just to capture every hard-worked detail here. This video nostalgically took me back to our good old times when RU-vid was just formed and Spugesdu & Pizzamovies uploaded their first LEGO SW animations in 2008, and you've taken it to a whole new level with this wonderful animation. The excitement of seeing realistic LEGO sets moving in battles brought a lot of joy to me as a kid. I'll never forget those days. Thank you for bringing these memories back!
So cool! I absolutely love this! The digital effects, the sound effects the motion and everything was really well put together! Worth the wait man, great job 👏
this reminds me a lot of the legendary old Lego star wars stop motion videos I used to watch as a kid some 10 years ago. And I mean that in the best possible way. Great job.
This episode will always be my favorite in any adaptation of the clone wars. Seeing ARC Troopers pulling off a mission with *0 CASUALTIES* is wild compared to the other media
This is flawless. I can't see a single imperfection. This is stop motion and cgi at its absolute best. If this was a full length movie it would burn the box office
Amazing! I was looking forward to this for so long time and to see it was just awe inspiring. Your CGI was downright just WOW it looks so realistic. The scale of it all was just so well done and so great to hear the arc troopers' theme. Great work would love to see more!
I love how this reminds me of the pre-disney era star wars, as well as before everyone started tring to make them super realistic........ I'm definatley showing this to my friends
This is definitely one of, if not the best Lego Star Wars animations I’ve ever seen; the Battle of Muunilinst is one of my favorite scenes from the 2003 Clone Wars animated series, and this makes me love it even more; the animation is amazing, especially the space battles, tho at points the minifigure walking and running animations could use some work; overall amazing 9.75 / 10
It may be a small thing,, but I love that you stylized the animation in a way that fits with how lego actually breaks apart during the animation. Great work.
The fact that this is the most high quality stop motion I have ever seen and trust me I have seen a lot. The explosions and the space fight was awesome. The lighting was just so cool inside the ships. The special affects really made it like Star Wars. Also making it more realistic. You can really tell time was put into this.
Alright, dude, this is damn good work. Some of those special effects were killer, and that combined with buttery smooth animations, impressively beautiful set designs, and good space combat made for one of the best brickfilms I've seen in a while. As a Stopmotion animator myself, I am very, very impressed. What I want to do is give you some constructive criticism here, and tell you what could have been improved: Sound design - The sounds you had were pretty nice - nothing wrong about what you already had in the video. But there were too many times where there was little or no sound, even if there was activity going on. Footsteps were missing at times, and only rarely came up. Certain movements (arm, head, etc.) could have had some foley/armor creaks added to a degree (Don't want to overdo it, but it'd be some really nice attention to detail). I'll elaborate below, but generally the sound design is hollow and needs more layers to it. During the space combat, there were no engine sounds, which felt weird, especially at 0:56 The lack of background sounds of the ongoing battles felt out of place too, especially at 1:03, 1:47 a little (could have put laser sounds from all the flak guns shooting at the gunships), and 2:13 (why not put in some backgrounds sounds of a city battle or something like that?). That complete silence at times is very... off. 2:01 - Not a big problem, but the animations there were kinda jittery. Clones looked oddly robotic. 2:52 - I see you put in some sort of blaster fight background sound or something to fill in all the silence. That makes sense, but I can see that sometimes it didn't match up with the character's blasters - I would have added them in so that it didn't look off, which it does at times. 3:03 - I see you kinda cut corners by not putting any muzzle flash from the droids' blasters. I get that since the front of the blasters are out of view (at least mostly), but maybe it would have made sense to shine a red light each time one of them fired or something, just so that scene didn't look shallow. 3:48 - Again, goes back to the lack of sound design. I would have put in some sort of sound as the clone trooper jumped down and walked away, and there was complete silence in that whole scene except for the explosion sound. Very little depth... 5:19 - That looked off. Didn't really see her deflect anything... Also worth nothing that her movements looked oddly slow, and there's no swing sounds either as she does that. Alright, that's it. Again, don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to throw shade at this at all, I'm saying all these things because I hope you'll be able to take this and improve from the feedback I'm giving. This was a fantastic video, and most definetly worth a watch (to any Star Wars fan, really). But I hope you recognize that there lies room for improvement, and I have faith that you'll grow from your experiences and make the next video even better. Thanks for reading. Outstanding job.
I appreciate the feedback! Sound design is definitely something I need to work more on. My background is in special effects so that took up most of my time while making this film. The ships do have sounds but the larger ships might be more like a rumble. Headphones may make it easier to hear.
@@LFPAnimations I'll try with the headphones, thanks, and I see that your strength lies in special effects and whatnot - that's for sure. Hope you can still improve and make the next video better though.
The space battle animation and tactics are brilliant! Better thought than most SW space battles. I love how you worked with the lego pieces for the debris!
Dude this is awesome, you got so much of the actual battle. I applaud your dedication. I thought it was really funny how slow the clones ran once they got out of the LAAT, they are legos after all
you have earned some of my greatest respect. i don't usually like videos, but you really earned it on this one. your models for the Acclamator, the Sepratist Frigates, and your general city designs are just stellar, id love to see somekind of video that shows how you built the acclamator and frigates. and even the Republic Crusier. ITs all just amazing
You know as a kid I used to watch a lot of Lego Star Wars videos and back then animation was OK and good for its time I occasion like to come back to get that same feeling I used to have as a kid yours was the first video of the night and seeing that brings back a lot of memories even though it’s with the modern animation and stop motion it was good and I appreciate all the work you put into it good work
ForrestFire101 style of animation takes lota of effort and determination, but you I'm surprised you could do it, you deserve the praise you can get and I'm not a Star Wars fan, but this animation has always appealed to me, though
Wow that is a great stop motion !! The battle is great and the mini figures are good too. You put in hard work in to this . You just earned a new subscriber
