I personally extremely dislike this set. This is star wars...the darn thing looks like a C.O.D 3 boat/ship out of place with the star wars universe. JUST MY OPINION.
I love how everyone says Captain Phasma is SOOOOOOOOO Special and SOOOOOOOOO Important! But she only does 3 things in the movie, Tells Finn to put on his Helmet, Get tackled by Chewie, and forced to turn off the shield generator! She's basically the Boba Fett of the Original Trilogy Sequel! Everyone loves him/her but they don't do anything of major importance!
+Yeti Rocket Hindsight is 20-20. Nobody knew how little she'd do in Ep7 until Ep7 was released. Hindsight will strike again next year when Ep8 comes out and she returns :)
Okay, here's a few reasons why I want this set *badly* 1. Captain Phasma 2. 3:25 3: Has multiple First Order Troopers/Flame Troopers (which I love the design of) 4. I honestly like the design of a WWII War Boat in Star Wars 5. I just like it :D
I actually really like this set, I know most people don't like the vehicle but it is delightfully Imperial. The official images made it look smaller than it is and I absolutely love the back end of the craft. The features are great and I actually like how it looks like a WII military duck vehicle. Congrats, you've convinced me the set is worth it!
Finally got this set and its definitely one of my favorites of all time. maybe because its like the Star Wars equivalent of ww2 landing boat and Vietnam Huey helicopter combined. Its not the most visually interesting ship but this thing has a lot of character and appeal.
I don't even really buy legos anymore. The only sets I have are poe's xwing, anakins naboo fighter, and a mega blocks green pelican which I adore. I just find your commentary rather entertaining 😁 looking forward to 1 mil I bet!!!
If I designed the set I would -considering the price- add Finn in his storm trooper armour with his blood-stained helmet and Poe in his jacket, possibly swapping the two figures for the two resistance fighters
Maybe, but Poe wouldn't really fit with a transporter. It would be cool to see a resistance vs first order set, with stud shooting turrets, BB-8, Stormtrooper Finn and 4 basic Stormtroopers :)
I think they're wanting Phasma's face to be kept a secret for the movie. Because Gwendolyn Christie does a lot of dodging when they ask her if she takes the helmet off in the movie
Thank you for reviewing this, I have been out of the lego scene for quite a few years and I am starting to get back into it a little. When I watched the original star wars films for the first time back in the 90's I had to make my self a little lego galactic empire and now with the new films coming along I have slowly been building a little first order army. I was hoping the troop compartment was a little bit bigger on the inside because the transport "supposedly" holds 20 troops. So again thank you for showing the set off inside and out.
Wow, this set looks pretty cool, I don't know the price, but I like how they've made a transporter with troops, heroes and lots of space instead of a ship again. I might get this depending on the price
Bobbicorn the funny thing is, Boba Fett did just a few things. Like looking cool, talk with a cowboy voice, flew a ship, track down Solo, shot out Luke, used his jet pack and fell into a pit. Haha but you do have a point. Phasma did almost absolutely nothing.
Yes. They are both expert combatants who rarely speak, never remove their helmets, act as the nemesis of one of the main characters, and they both die by falling into a pit.
Hey jang I love your videos and am so glad to see these Estes be reviewed .i first saw your channel when I watched your shopping mall custom .all of my friends have all grown out off Lego and after watching your videos for several months it got me back in and you really inspired me . Thank you:)
I like the ship design in the movie pretty much, it has such a unique style, nothing you saw all the time. It resembles old landing crafts like from Daihatsu from Japan in the second world war, I really dig it and look forward to models of Bandai and Revel. I was pretty impressed as I saw the Lego model. I think they did a really good job transforming the ship in Lego style and add a great range of playablity to it.
Angry clone face is probably the best face lego has ever made and I hope they'll never decommission it. Regardless of whether or not the new order stormtroopers are clones, it makes sense for military figures to look uniform.
Yes! Such a wonderful set...such high hopes for the trilogy....I was so hyped...bought 3...now I’m so disappointed and heartbroken...where is this ship now? One Episode and done? Not watching RoS anyway...Disney blew it....
Fun Fact, Phasma has chrome metal armour, as when she left her home world with the first order, she was taken in a Noobian cruiser. After being given rank of captain, she decided that she would melt down some of the scrap armour plating from the Noobian cruiser, and line her armour with it.
Lord _ Scrubington the ship belonged to Emperor Palpatine and was taken by Hux after his death. The ship actually crashed and was destroyed beyond repair. Before leaving her homeworld with Hux, she took scraps of the destroyed ship and melted it down to make her Chromium armor. Please check your facts before commenting. 👍
THIS SET IS BIG!!! I just grabbed my Lego Creator WV T1 Camper Van, a fairly large set, and counted and it's 35 studs long and 14 studs wide. I paused this video and counted the studs as well and the roof is 12 wide and 36 long; excluding the thrusters of course, so it's even longer. The Camper Van is taller and will look overall larger, but it consists of more than 1300 pieces.
I don't usually get to many of the larger sets, but I'm definitely getting this one. It's got some great figures, and the vehicle would be good for army building. Good review Jang, I might have to buy two if there on a good sale.
If you're in the UK, they're on sale at Argos *right now*, but most stores only have 1 left! I was originally going to pass on this set, but after this review and the reduced price, I decided I had to get it!
Another great Jang review! At first glance I didn't like this ship, but the more i look at it the better it gets. Definitely reminds me of a navy landing craft. Again Jang convinces me to purchase one!
I actually quite like the look of this set. It looks solid, with plenty of spaces and platforms to place minifigures. The sheer price of it in Australia means that I probably won't be getting it though, but it's one of my favourites among the TFA range.
I actually think the transporter is pretty awesome and I'd love to get it for my birthday in May so I can finally have Captain Phasma in my collection! ♡
Hi jang!! wow I'm impRESSED with this set boy I'm going to get a massive army I collect Lego sets from years and it's grown A LOT I can't wait for more nice vid jang as always keep it up:)
awesome review as always jang. I just got home after a roadtrip for a proper Force Friday so I haven't built mine yet. I'll build in complete confidence I'll be pleased after you showing everything about this set off! cheers.
Saw this set last night at TRU - would have LOVED to buy it but I cannot justify the price. Love the features even if the overall appearance isn't too exciting, really conflicted about this set overall. Thanks for the review highlighting the cool features!!!
