I saw another "facelift" by JK Brickworks, but that looks very much like an Easter Island face. This one is still abstract but not as empty as the old face. I think I'll use this one.
I definitely prefer the Brickworks face. The real Lady Liberty statue does have a very prominent nose. This mod is too similar to the blank looking original.
Of course it includes the VAT! Not the dumb Pricing like in the USA. And by the way the Berlin Set is still available in manny Stores (like Toys r us).
Snoert87 I don‘t really get why BrickPicker compares US prices without VAT to German (and I assume other) countries‘ prices with VAT. The same happened in his latest video. At least there should be some kind of note in the price table...
I payed 78 euro for the Statue of Liberty and 71 for the Capitol. I think i did alright even though i will have it as a display piece instead of a sealed box.
your video is amazing, just one little suggestion about the chart, if it is sold out, use red/amber, if it is still available, use Green, the RAG system isn't right.
I like your fix, and I like JK's too. I didn't really mind the 2x2 shield face, since Architecture sets are usually somewhat abstract. The one thing JK's does address, is a nose. Lady Liberty has a pretty strong nose, IRL. I've been fooling around with other workarounds, and I've concluded what really needs to happen is a piece that doesn't currently exist, let alone in sand green. Try to imagine a modified 2x2 plate, with a rounded tab (usually with a hole in it.) This piece should not have the hole, and instead should be rounded up on all sides, 1 thickness, to 2 jumpstud oriented studs in the center. I think that would solve a lot of problems.
Saw you had Las Vegas on your release list. I know it’s not out yet but saw the Mandalay is being replaced with the Bellagio which is fine but, when’s it coming out? I’m Architecture line fan but don’t buy every set and The Statue of Liberty doesn’t really do it for me. The no face bothers me but I may get it someday through amazon which usually has these sets cheaper. I do have the Saturn V but haven’t opened it yet because one, I don’t really have a place for it and two, I’m waiting to see if it goes up after being discontinued.

From the shoulders up, the figure is just awful. And it's not just the shapeless face, it's the blocky arm and the very unusual choice of the 1x1 cone pieces on the back of the neck. I mean, I can't even understand what their thinking is with the design of the back of the neck?!
Eh it's ok. JK brickworks is ok but masculine. Why can't you bring it down one stud like you first did before fixing so the crown can sit down more. Crown is too high.
