I have been there lol. Was confused btw the Leica apo 50 vs the V 50 apo. I ended up getting the Leica 35 apo 😂😂😂. for 6500$. Let me explain. On an SL body (larger body than M) I would go with the V 50 apo. It’s the same size as the Summilux 50 asph v1 and smaller that the summilux v2. I use an M, so size matters to me. So instead of the V 50 apo, I got the Leica 35 apo cuz of size compared to the V 35 apo. A 50 mm is not that versatile to me for daily carry. Also I only shoot film. On digital, the difference between Leica 50 apo and V apo is so irrelevant and size difference is smaller too, so I would take the V 50 apo for the SL. Save money. I think a newer 50 summilux or the noctilux would be great too, if you don’t want the f2 lenses. For me; On an SL V 50 apo On an M V 50 apo to save money. Size is very close and same as the summilux If it’s 35 mm then; L 35mm apo If it’s faster then Noctilux if u like being artistic like me or Summilux if you like f1.4 and apo like quality at f5.6
