Leica DISTO™ Plan App - How to use Sketch Plan 

Cross lines are not supported to adjust the floorplan shape. But you can draw cross lines and measure them to be used later in a CAD system to adjust the room angles.

You can use the function Measure Façade (P2P) to measure vertical surfaces, also irregular one. But keep in mind that you can not measure glass sufaces.

Probably not, because laser are straight line of light. We use this device to design the sketch and them we transfer to a software where we can modify as needed.

Any Leica DISTO™ with Bluetooth 4 will be supported by the app. To add a measurement to a line is possible as you described.

Yes, it doesn't require all the walls to be 90 degrees. It can draw on an angle.

Leica Geosystems AG The problem is when the app decides that two corners must change to make the room work with the dimensions given it doesn’t always do it correctly. I just measured my first room which had 2 ~90 degree corners, but the app made it into a trapezium with the wrong two corners adjusted. All Leica needs to do is add the ability to measure corner to opposite corner to correctly triangulate the room. The problem with this solution is that it highlights the inability of the Disto to measure from inside the corner - the back of the disto doesn’t fit! I’m sure I had a disto once which would do this and it would read the measurement from the end of the fold out arm, but my current D2 doesn’t. This is a basic measuring technique, you should always measure diagonally to get the right room shape. Pen and paper it is still then for me.

@@robnab1975 They will never implement any real life useful features, because it's Leica. This is why i chose Bosh. EVerything included with laser measure that costs under 200$

Yes. D1 is compatible with DISTO Plan.

@@zigamravlja2134 It’s not really recommended to work on multiple rooms, because autoscale will not work.

@@kfarrell3064 At the moment DISTO Plan only allows to sketch and measure a single room. We ae working on a solution for multiple rooms for a future release.

it's possible if you buy bosh ;) You can't even have corners other then 90deg here ;)

Thank you for the feedback.We will improve the label placement on the PDF export with the next update. The PDF Pro export contains a list of all measurements which are always readable.The squeezed company logo happens only in the iOS version and will be fixed with the next update.

You will need to go to the 2D view where you will see your layout from top. By selecting a line and then choose “Tools” on the top you will be able to edit the height. Hope this solves your problem.

The dxf and dwg format that is available from the app are both standard CAD formats. So Autocad is supporting those. In such case we would recommend to use the dwg format when exporting.

Since five years we focus on the new Bluetooth standard 4.0. Unfortunately Leica DISTO™ Plan is not backward compatible to Bluetooth 2.1

Dear George, multi-room sketch is currently not supported. So you can draw a shape of a room or of a building but it is lot possible to add and measure walls afterwards.

 Unfortunately, DISTO Plan doesn’t support wall thickness at the moment.

No, this is not possible in the function Sketch Plan. To get the really correct angles of a room the P2P function Measure Plan is needed to be used with a dedicated P2P DISTO like the S910 or a X3 or X4 together with a DST 360 adapter.

Pretty sure you just make a right angle triangle out of the corner :)

Hello. All our current models have a Bluetooth connection. The DISTO D1 or D110 are the basic instruments.

You should have. Sketch a line and than click to the line and there will come up a Icon with openings.

Tap on any wall, select Tools and then Room Height. Here you can change the height of your room.

I think you need to fix many things in the software, i was bought a disto x4 because of this video, and it ain't cheap, i found many trouble like overlaping or distorted line when measuring (i use paid versions), and 20 measurements for the smart plan is just not enough,, if you make this close to the magic plan app that would be great

@@abimanyu9555 Smart Room and Sketch Plan are designed to create an outline of a room. If you would like to measure structures in the middle of the room like a column, we recommend to use the Measure Plan function. This function requires the DST 360 P2P adaptor for your DISTO X4 and allows to measure any point visible from one setup.

@@LeicaGeosystemsCH well then, I'm really sorry, I'd rather use the magicplan app for a while,, just a suggestion, i think you need to fix the app at the first time, instead of suggesting people to buy more products, which is once again it ain't cheap...

His app shows a red square which says "Openings". My app doesn't show that. Leica is no help at all!

You may have figured it out but for anyone else, click on the line(wall) in the 2d drawing where you wish to add the opening, and the 'opening' button will appear. Click it and it'll put a door in place, up at the top there will be a 'modify' button, and the rest should be self explanatory!

You can add single points like for sockets by use of the P2P features in the DISTO™ Plan App. For the Sketch Plan there you would need to add points on lines or work with additional lines.

Yes, the D1 has also Bluetooth. The basic app is free, but there are for special functions in-app purchases.

DISTO Plan App is currently not available on the Google Play store. We are working on a solution but this will take a few days. Sorry for the inconvinience!

You will have to export the file as a dxf or dwg file first and then it should be possible to import the data in that program.

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed regarding this fact. All Leica DISTO™ models above the D2 are having such a tripod thread.

This app doesn't work at all, it frees out even in a different device.

Einfach die Wand markieren (erscheint dann rot) und dann erhält man den Knopf um Öffnungen einzufügen.
