What a collection! I remember a few months back I stopped in at the Leica store to see an SL2s and M11 in person. I tried the m11 first and thought it was fantastic. The employee then took the lens from that body and put it on the SL2s (50mm Summicron M f2 v5). The moment I put the SL2s up to my eye, I literally said out loud, “oh my god…”. The EVF was truly outstanding and I’ve never seen anything that amazing before. It was almost literally like looking through a glass viewfinder. And the view was massive. I currently have the CL’s brother, the TL2 and a couple of the TL lenses for it. Even by today’s standards I’m blown away by the quality of photos that still retain a natural flair to it. Thanks for sharing your collection with us, I can only hope to have such a one someday
PS: I am definitely holding onto my SL2-S. The EVF is incredible. Especially when using M glass. And the balance with M glass is equally incredible. Be Blessed, Doc Chaps
Greetings, I came upon video completely by chance. What caused me to actually listen was the image of your three camera bodies. Short of the M3 and my two Barnack film bodies, you and I have the exact same Leica digital bodies. I own the Noct family of Leica M lenses and the 50 APO. I decided to reach out to you to inquire about your thoughts wrt the M11 and the 35 Steel Rim. Is this a nice combo? Do you like the rendering of that lens? Thank you for sharing your experience with Leica. I have a question to ask you. I can connect my mobile phone to Q3 while the camera is turned off. Fotos app will wake Q3 up automatically and proceed connection. But I cannot do the same way with my M11. Everytime I must turn on M11 manually first. Then I can connect my mobile phone to M11. Do you experience the same thing? Thank you very much.
I just tested them out. The Fotos app can wake up both my Q3 and SL2-S, even if the power toggle is set to off. It will not wake up my M11 if it is either toggled off, or toggled on in sleep. It will only connect if I manually wake the M11 by turning it on or pressing the shutter button. Thanks, I had never noticed this difference before with the M11.
