@@brettburton1477 Seems you have vendetta against brass you have commented so much on this video about this precise point, that I am curious about your own taste haha ( in a good way). How would you have accessorized yours?
Brass on the shutter button looked incredible, with its deliberate contrast placement, but not so much with the thumb rest, which looked a tad tacky and something that would otherwise cause intense perpetual pressure of a resting thumb holding the camera weight against that shoe mount. It compromises the structural integrity of the camera. Camera cover and shutter button brass were enough.
That ring is called ‘Protector Ring Lens.’ When you take off your lens hood, you can replace that in front of the lens for protection. I own q2 but am thinking of buying q3.
Thanks for that! I think from Q2 to Q3 main difference would be the autofocus which I feel is more sticky on the Q3, with the latest firmware on Q3 they fixed up quite a few bugs we encountered initially
@@threeamigoshkwhich is actually misleading by Leica. On their website it states: "A flap on the protector’s bottom offers instant access to the battery and memory card, whereas an additional compartment for an additional SD-Card ensures that the camera is always ready to shoot." You can't access a SD card without unscrewing the case. :/ Half case, otherwise, is just amazing!
Honestly pretty hard as we also been trying to get another one and is looking like is going to take quite some time. Not sure in the US, but in HK people are having better luck with third party sellers rathet than officially from leica store (strangely..). If we hear any place which you could get one we will let you know as well!
@@threeamigoshk Do you mean the on camera unboxing or the one you did earlier. The on camera unboxing wasn’t done without doing a preview. Otherwise your fingerprints wouldn’t already be on everything.
I can definitely understand that, which is why I didn't also opt for the hood /lid to be in brass. They do have options in black which would make it more stealthy.
I can't understand why they supply these accessories in brass unless they're set to self-destruct and vaporise any Q3 in the hands of people with zero taste.
Q3 is designed to be an everyone’s camera. Actually Leica is open to the idea of fashioning up through their collabs with Hermes, Hodinkee, Disney, James Bond, Seal Dawn. They allow you change leather on all their cameras to fancy eye catching colours to match your personality or fashion. So the police thing would probably best saved for something else. Photography in 2023 has evolved to be an everyone hobby and is no longer fixed to serious members who only uses black accessories or Peak design straps. How people chooses to dress their camera up though, has no impact on the photos I think.
