It's actually chilling the fact they were just commenting on the helicopter and you could see it there just like business as usual.

As a Leicester fan watching this it makes me feel sick. I remember the game, I remember the news breaking of Vichai and I remember the feeling around the City. The most heartwarming thing after the tragedy was seeing people travel from all over the country to leave shirts outside of the King Power. RIP Vichai x

That was such a difficult moments for Jake and he was really professional holding his feelings in.

You can name quite a few famous and non-famous people who have died in a helicopter crash in recent years. It really puts you off getting into one.

Poor Jake didn’t know what to say and was aware of the seriousness of the situation, but he took so long to actually say what had happened!

Unbelievable to think that moments later everyone in that helicopter was dead.

Extremely sad. Such a wonderful owner and (along with Claudio Ranieri) gave the world the most extraordinary fairytale with Leicester winning the Premier League. Also the fact that after seeing the Helicopter crash to the ground, Kasper Schmeichel ran to the Helicopter to try to help people with no care for his own safety highlights what a phenomenal human being he is. People are quick to scrutinise Footballers because they get paid a lot of money, but they're human beings...and Kasper deserves eternal respect for his actions.

Fair play to Jake for holding it together, just, while presenting us with this terrible news

Genuinely one of the saddest days in football, a gentleman was taken who cared about his club. We don’t see them everyday, but we are glad to have had them for their brief ownership.

Literally 10 min walk from my house, can listen to the game from my bedroom, still remember the day like it was yesterday

The irony he said “we consider our life Choices” as if the people boarding the helicopter have the better side of life. Well the irony is they’re no longer here to make choices in their lives

Still cant believe this was broadcast live but we all got used to the Helicopter landing to take owner away after each game like us walking or driving home from work.

I've commented this before somewhere, but I was at the game with my dad the day this happened. As the helicopter landed at the ground, my dad turned to me and said, "It can't be safe landing a helicopter at the ground. What if something goes wrong?" I brushed it off, saying I'm sure it's fine they do it all the time, and we walked off to our car. On the way back, we tuned in to bbc radio Leicester and heard the news. Still chilling to think about.

God 4 years ago, that's gone so quick. I was in year 9 now I'm in last year of 6th form, where has time gone! It was so chilling watching it back hearing Jake saying 'we make life choices' and for that choice to end in the way it did. I remember watching this live, it was horrible.

You have to feel for Jake here. He's probably feeling really bad about the jokes they were just cracking, but scared given the commotion they undoubtedly heard and saw, but still needs to be professional and go about reporting.

Me and my gf at the time of this accident was sitting in traffic outside of the stadium and we saw it come down! It was shocking and surreal, that helicopter could of come down anywhere outside of the ground, I'm still here, and will never forget that night. God bless them poor people who lost their lives.😢😢

Many people seem to be criticising how jake handled it however I think he handled it well. If he had just said straight up 'the helicopter has crashed', it'd have hit all of us like a train, but to build up to what he eventually said made it seem less sudden for me. RIP Vichai. Poor Jake, just after he said “life choices”.

He said to John Hartson about getting a lift in it back to Scotland for the cup game, as it was taking off. Dreadful incident. There’s a video on RU-vid that shows the helicopter just before it crashed to earth and you could see it get into trouble. The back rotor started spinning causing the whole thing to spin as well. RIP to all on board.

We live about a mile from the ground and every time I see clips about the crash, I still hear the bang!! RIP to all those that lost their lives 😘

I remember I was in a poker tournament when this happened (they show the blind timer and the football on different screens), and the screen showed the helicopter leaving the stadium...little did we know what happened next.

Whatever happens in sport, particularly football, there is nothing more appropriate to say about the fact when a tragedy hits, everyone comes together when it matters the most. Hope I haven't worded this wrong. My apologies if I have.

I've been to the garden at the back of the stadium... where the crash happened. So eary and moving.

It is terribly sad to see the lead-up to the accident. Any loss of life on these circumstances is shocking and deeply saddening. Oddly, beyond football and LCFC, the founder of King Power was not seen in a very positive light. The company was founded in "unusual" circumstances and gained its complete market monopoly in similarly murky ways. It is nice that he bankrolled a football club, but the origin of the money he used to do it was at beat slightly unusual. Football fans and sports journalists have a selective curiosity about some things - and that is fine. Nonetheless, it is terribly sad to hear of a death in these circumstances.
