The one handed drivers drove me nuts until I bought an automatic and now all I do is hold the steering wheel with my left hand and to stop me thinking I need to change gear.... (I've only once hit the clutch to change gear ... which is your break in an automatic) never again)..... so I either sit on it / or its out the window 😅😂

Great video, MARM. Is previous years this race has started and finished on the grounds of Prestwold Hall, which is far more picturesque than the race track 🤣. As for the training. You need to download a training plan for your marathon, it will make a huge difference to your finish time, as long as you can commit the time to it during the week. Ben Parkes or Nick Bester sell plans for around £6 each.

I'd like to give you some advice like try running every other day with one rep sesh - over/under goal pace. But your running nearly a minute a mile quicker than me 🥲, Maybe your onto something! 🤣 (I'm 54)

Great video, I’ve done the Leicestershire half 3 times, but not this year. Like it too - and it’s pretty fast because the old airfield part is really flat 👍 set my PB there. Look after your arse mate, you never know when you will need it 🤣 liked the ‘More goss in my face than a Bros concert’ made me lol 😁

Best advice i've ever had is gradually increase your weekly mileage by 10% to a minimum of 30miles with a mix of distances & paces (speed suprisingly doesnt matter it's time on feet) plus some reps occasionally. I like to do reps by hunting for Strava segments (might make a good vlog?).

Interested in the hamstring/glute (arse) feedback. I did mine late last year in a cross country event and not been the same since. You nearly smiled when crossing the finish 😁 ha ha Nice video, very similar course to my parkrun. Being an airfield and perfectly flat and open to the weather.

I did this half last year and didn’t really enjoy it, plus I ran injured. Not one I would go back to. Great video as usual though. Ps I did Cambridge Half on Sunday which was fab and beautiful to run around with amazing support. Also very flat and I knocked 6 mins off my PB. I would pre register your interest for 2025 if you are interested as it sells out fast.

Get to a physio and start doing 80/20 or you’ll stay on that plateau.
