Considering Leinster are missing nearly an entire first 15 team this was an impressive result against a strong Edinburgh team with some Scottish internationals back in the team

Very good result considering Leinster were missing Porter, Healy, Sheehan, Kelleher, McKee, Furlong, Ryan, Baird, McCarthy, Doris, JVDF, Conan, McGrath, Gibson-Park, Byrne, Ringrose, Henshaw, Lowe, O’Brien, Keenan. 20 players! And Edinburgh had a bunch of internationals Schoeman, Cherry, Nel, Gilchrist, Watson, Crosbie, Healy, DVDM, Kinghorn, Ashman & Sebastian.

The scrum and lineout was again not good from Leinster. It kept Edinburgh in the game. We need to put a real focus on that in Irish rugby over the next while. It has cost us dearly at both provincial and international level at the business end of the last few tournaments.

Looked like men against boys; except the boys were better at rugby. What must grizzled internationals and Lions like Schoeman and VDM have been thinking watching all these fresh faced youngsters running in try after try against them?

Total and utter BS. Edinburgh had twice the line breaks, beat 3 x as many defenders and racked up twice many meters. Edinburgh mistakes lost that game not Leinster "boys" being better at rugby.

@@joshsmith3598 Right? And yet, for the final half of the game there was no question who was going to win? Saying one team made more mistakes but were the "better team" is nonsensical no? I know it's tough being any kind of Scotland fan at the minute, but you have to face facts, the regional teams, like the national team are miles behind Ireland at the minute. Don't worry, the future is bright, The Scotland U20 did well in the world plate competition they compete in. Plus the South Africa U20 look good, I'm sure you'll get a couple of them too.

where are the irish internationals? Genuine question. Dan Shean, Doris, Jamison, Low and the rest? It has been a long time since the QF of the RWC.

One of the advantages of the Irish system is it really does look after their players. They get a proper rest before being thrown back in. Given how long the season is and how long their pre-season has been, it is a very sensible approach. Plus, if you're Leinster, you need the opportunity to blood the next generation of class off the conveyor belt.

oh ok, sounds good enough. Im glad they take thos precautions . The french system must be something like that also, Dupont didnt play in the last Top 14 game and they have been out of the WC for the same time@@Farzocalypse21

@@THEMRblackboy7thst Yeah, I think one of the reasons for French improvement over the last few years is they have a much better relationship between the clubs and the national team, which has benefited everyone, especially the players.
