Argentina stunned Wales in the opening quarter-final of Rugby World Cup 2023, coming back from 10-0 down in Marseille to steal the game 17-29 after Nicolas Sanchez scored the decisive intercept try with a few minutes to go. The victory saw Los Pumas become the first side into the Rugby World Cup 2023 semi-finals, where they would face New Zealand after the All Blacks then beat Ireland.
