My brother and his wife are in Greece at the moment so I told him PLEASE go to the Theodoros Kalontinis store and get me the Aegean Salt & Citrus!! Today he told me he not only got a bottle for me…but also himself! I’m so excited to see what it’s like in person. I am a huge lover of Paris-Deauville from Chanel and Eau de Jane here on RU-vid and she said they were similar to her. So I am hoping that is true for my nose :)
Yes!!! 🙌🙌🙌. It’s my favorite part of Sunday… Hanging out at Chris’s pool, talking about perfumes! ❤️☀️ I already have a couple from Luckyscent queued up! Happy Sunday! 😊
I bought Carthusia on your description and have loved it so much! Wearable for work in an intimate health care setting. Decanted some doe resident who commented on it and she bought one too. We love this category in the desert heat!! Thanks for putting these out I’ve been re-watching them now that the heat is on ❤
I love lemon gourmands! Also chance Eau Fraiche is a lifer for me too. It’s one of my most complimented perfumes. Hufflepuff and unknown pleasures will be added to my collection soon. ❤
Ah I know you do and I love that! I remember you showing it on a video. We have SUPER similar taste. No one shows it anymore! I think it gets overlooked because it’s not new….but so darn classic.
Perfect poolside setting for summer “freshie” type fragrances! Stroopwaffles … delicious! I ate those fresh and hot from the street market vendors every weekend morning when I lived/worked in The Hague. Perfect description of that fragrance.
Another long lasting (on my skin) lemon with a touch of salt to try would be Carner Barcelona's Sal Y Limon 🍋 Enjoying it so much 😍 They have another called Tennis Club which is a nice freshie too. Thinking of picking this up 🎾🙌 xx
Hi Chris! You are right, a lovely lemon fragrance is perfect for a classic t-shirt.🍋 There is a really lovely series of citrus fragrances made by Jean-Claude Ellena for Laboratorio Olfattiva called Viaggio in Italia trilogy that is definitely worth checking out! Limone is the Italian lemon fragrance of the series. I also remember liking Penhaligon’s Racquets… kind of old money summer sports vibe. Great video! I’m excited to check out the House of Sillage! Love & own the Kerosene. 🍋👏👏👏👏😀
Oh I love that you have tried Limone! I went to a LO shop in Rome last Summer. I was hot and tired and didn’t get to sample everything but I tried Limone and loved it; it was super light wearing and fleeting but delicious!! Simple and delicious. Racquets is completely new to me!!!😲🙌🎾
Another great video my friend!! You look so chic and i LOVE that top you are wearing and that pink shade is PERFECT on you! So envious of your beautiful pool as always. The private pool for our community is still closed all season. Its so sad especially since our patio/yard faces it directly and makes me miss it even more 😢😢😢
Great choices! I❤ 🍋scents! I have Lemon Tart as well as Bake! I highly recommend them! I also really like Siesta Drive from Navitus & Light Blue Sun. I got a huge bottle of Light Blue Sun for under $50. It is my go to fragrance on boiling 🔥days!
Literally as soon as I click on your video and see you sitting by your pool I feel instantly calm and relaxed! 😌🥰 and I love lemon so I am looking forward to watching! 🍋
As always beautiful lady great video! So I also have in my collection Carthusia Mediterráneo, it’s such a great summer scent!!!! It reminds me of Nishane Wulong Cha!!! I just ordered Akro Bake in a 30ml, can’t wait to receive it; A Hidden Jen’s believe it or not is Zara’s all Murphy’s Sunray!! It really is a beautiful lemon. So fresh and creamy! I bought the big bottle and received a travel size for under $40. It definitely was a win-win situation
Petit Matin is beautiful! And you're right it is long lasting for a citrus! Chris have you tried Sal y Limon by Carner Barcelona? I'm loving it this summer!
Hey Chris, I really really love your videos! The topic is what we would love to watch in these unbearably high temperatures. I had a discovery set from Kalotinis and I was surprised to see that I had a sample of Aegean salt and citrus. It's so refreshing and very classy in my opinion. It's like a girl dressed in white with a nice hat on , bare footed having a basket in her hands and picking up 🍋lemons from the backyard lemon trees. Thanks for the insight!
You inspired me to wear Unknown Pleasures tonight. It’s slightly cooler this evening and I’m heading out for a photography session with my nephews. I thought it was the perfect fragrance to wear around kids (my 12 year old nephew makes sure to compliment my fragrance when we see each other 😊).
Hi Chris! Unknown Pleasures is a love of mine in fall and winter. I tried wearing it in summer time, but it just puts me in the mind of cold weather ❤❤
Chris, I had a very good long laugh because of Mamá’s Laurie answer!! She is definitely my favorite mom. I will get that cupcake to remember her. When I smell coconut in a person I want to put a straw through the head and drink it 😂😂😂😂. I love the fresh ones and I will get the Chanel one too.❤
Back in the day when I wore Love's Baby Soft I also wore Love's Fresh Lemon, which by the way is still available. I might buy one for nostalgia's sake.
Happy Sunday Chris. I love the note of lemon especially when it’s as hot as it’s been. I received a sample of Hufflepuff and I must say I really enjoyed it. It may be my first cupcake.
IMO lemon tart is emperors new clothes to me! It is lemon cleaner !!! I own most on your list and this one really made me realize sometimes I must stop and just judge the fragrance and stop the hype train ! This is straight pledge to me . I love you because you feature truly the best houses: Chanel etc because it’s not like lemon tart which to me isn’t even perfumery Please always feature the classics and the best !
Yes! So many ppl are going Gaga about Lemon Tart; but I def get that lemon soap thing in there so I wanted to make ppl aware of that. I almost never get “lemon cleaner” in what I smell but I know others do. Lemon Tart is def the one I see being perceived that way out of the ones I show. But if you read the comments here …so many ppl don’t really get that. Often times I don’t fall in love with hyped perfumes; that’s why it takes me a while to do reviews. I find it very important to slow down and get to know a fragrance before I buy. But I’m human and sometimes I break my no blind buy rules. I can think of a slew of hyped fragrances that don’t work got me. And poor Chanel! It’s so good and no one talks about it anymore because it’s not new. I still love it. Wearing it today. 😉💕
@@ThePerfumeNest thank you for your thoughtful response I agree definitely getting to know a fragrance and I just have come to realize these hyped one sometimes are to the point of emperors new clothes in my opinion. However with Fragrance it’s all subjective which is why everyone can try before they buy. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure and I really agree with if it makes you happy and feel good then it’s a good perfume for you
Assam of India by Berdous is a great lemon tea fragrance without all the sweet gourmand notes that Unkown Pleasures has. It's really fresh and cozy and great for spring through fall. It's not heafty enough for winter, in my opinion.
Thanks for this video! Lemon is my current favorite note. I have Lemon Tart and to me it’s intoxicating and I want to keep respraying to get those amazing top notes! Now I want to try Hufflepuff!
Lemon can definitely be a dodgy note and can turn like cleaner if we aren’t careful ! Penhaligons Quercus is a lemon forward fragrance with basil and jasmine ,it’s lovely and I picked up a mini collection while in London ! So fresh for summer
CO Bigelow Lemon Eau de Parfum No. 1999. Fresh lemon and musk, and to me this layers so well with any lemon fragrance that you want to boost the lemon especially the sweeter gourmands. I layer it with Bath and Body Works Iced Lemon Pound Cake body care and it smells delicious. And it’s affordable!
I am a lemon lover and love the line up. I have a funny relationship with Broceliande too and was going to try using more of my bottle in the fall and see if that helps. Fortunately for me Sora Dora is easy to get my hands on but then other things easy for everyone else is kinda tough. I have also been using Citrine from Nest this summer in addition the salt and citrus as a base. It has been so hot here in Madrid this year and my citrus perfumes have been burning off fast but I am loving wearing them.
Chris, I just subscribed to your channel! Being a fragrance lover, it is a very sad thing that I have developed migraines. Any smell of sweet/gourmand gives me a headache 🥴. Please, do post more videos about orange/lime/mandarin/citrus fragrances! You are so stunningly beautiful! May you please tell me the brand and model # of the sunglasses you are wearing! They are so cool! God bless you!!!
Aw thank you so much for the lovely words!! I too love citruses so many more of those type of Fragrances coming up!! My sunglasses I think are from a ski resort or gas station / truck stop. I’ll try and look at the brand when I get home. ❤️❤️
Can't wait to get my mitts on Lemon Tart! My absolute fave lemon at the mo is Siesta Drive by Navitus. Lemon 🍋 + mascarpone. To me, it smells like lemon curd folded into whipping cream. Navitus does gourmands like no other.
Chris, another great video! Based on your reccomendation I blind-bought Mediterraneo and absolutely LOVE IT! I do not mind re-applying it throughout the day! Thank you! ❤️
Love me some lemon! 🍋🍋🍋🍋I got Unknown Pleasures thanks to you!! Tried Bake ( little dabber ) and was not really impressed, could barely smell it...maybe I need to revisit, really liked Lemon Tart better and for the price!!!
Oh how I wish Hufflepuff wasn’t limited edition! I smelled it on a test strip when they sent over Whispers of Truth and it smelled so good! If it wasn’t limited I’d probably want it, have yet to test on skin though
Hi Chris, I tested Siesta Drive by Navitus this weekend, and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. Very citrusy, sweet, and something creamy in there. I recommend testing this one out; I might be getting a full bottle myself.
Another great video with some fantastic 🍋 choices! I bought Huffle Puff the day it became 50% as well, love it! Unknown Pleasures is a ❤ as well! Siesta Drive and Trajan are also lemon 🍋 loves!
I have to put in a good word for one of my summer regulars -- Acqua di Gioia by Armani. It has not just any old lemon, but Limone Primo Fiore Femminello from Calabria (aren't you impressed?), along with mint in its top notes. With water jasmine, peony and pink pepper in the middle notes, it then segues into a base of cedar, yellow sugar and labdanum. It evidently took three perfumers to create it: Loc Dong, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion.
Excellent video, Chris!!!! my favorite lemon based scent is , as you may already know, Bohemian Lime by Goldfield and Banks! Just a masterpiece in my opinion! Sending you the biggest hug and a forest berries ice-cream (local Transilvanian recipe)! yummm yum
Ah my friend! Hello!!! I am so embarrassed I haven’t sampled Bohemian Lime ; it’s been on my radar for years! Masterpiece? Ok. Def getting it. Hope all is well my dear. 🙏🏻❤️
Chris, you've probably tried Brown Sugar by Fresh, but in case you haven't, it's a really pleasant one, and great for just hanging around. Very light-wearing, but I get pretty good longevity from it. I am anxiously awaiting the restocking of Hufflepuff. That being said, Brown Sugar is very budget friendly. It was discontinued for awhile, I think, but apparently the company woke up and brought it back.
Thank you Chris, a great video with many types of perfume. I absolutely agree with you about Light Blue. I have it in the form of a flanker called Italian Zest. I also remain faithful to Eau de Rochas, a lemony Chypre with lots of body - a mineral note and patchouli.
Taking notes as it looks like I don’t have lemon fragrances 🍋🍋. I would have loved to try Unknown Pleasures and Lemon Tart but it’s difficult to find a store that ships to my side of the world 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. Stay gorgeous 🥰🥰
I picked up a sample of Lemon Line by Mancera Perfumes and I ADORE the scent. But, as you mentioned, the longevity is just not there. Still, its a very fresh scent thats pretty easy to fall in love with.
I am extremely sensitive to lemon scents because the lemon cleaners in the netherlands smell so good so any scent with lemon is going to smell like i am wearing cleaning supplies 🙈 Do you not think any of these fragrances smell like Pledge?
Oh dear!!! Hmmm HOS Hufflepuff but I don’t think they ship to the Netherlands. Something overly gourmand. But maybe the note of lemon just isn’t for you. 😉Save your money for something you love!!❤️Thanks so much for stopping by…esp knowing you aren’t a fan of lemon. So very sweet of you.
I absolutely love Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. Also Chris, a while back you recommended Roberto Cavelli Paradiso and Lavin April in Capri. I absolutely love them. Your recommendations have not failed me yet. I'm going to purchase the two lemon Theodores Kalothis fragrances. I own Velvet Chocolate and Jasmine of Athens. However, Jasmine of Athens is not one of favorites.
Hi there!!! Oh I’m so glad!! Yes I’m trying to keep it to 10 and it’s hard I’m going to leave some gems out!! I never purchased Jasmine of Athens because jasmine doesn’t always work for me so it wasn’t a safe buy. 🥰🥰❤️❤️
Thanks for this, Chris, I am crazy for lemon scents! As a teen, I used to drown myself in Love’s Fresh Lemon 😊, absolutely loved it. It was just like a freshly cut lemon. One of the closest I found to that in recent years was by Fresh, think it was called Sugar, but haven’t seen it in ages, so tried one of the Clean Reserve scents just a short time ago and it’s wonderful.
@@ThePerfumeNest I know!! Was devastated, SO loved that scent. I heard from my Sephora guru that for a long time they were having hellish problems with deliveries of the scents from Fresh. They seem to be getting only into the body care now, it i wish they had kept Sugar body cream at the very least! Based on your list, I want to try that Aegean Salt/Lemon scent you mentioned next. Have to see whether they ship to Canada.
Thanks for the video. I’m loving Iced Lemon Poundcake from BBW recently and needed some ideas for lemon perfumes to layer it with. I’ve heard about a cheapie called Soft from Al Rehab that is interesting me as well. Thanks for all the suggestions and have a wonderful day. 😊
Yes I LOVE Iced Lemon Poundcake! Utterly delicious! And I have Soft spray….super duper light wearing, reminds me of Pink Sugar. Orders the roll on oil to see if I can get better performance.
Yeah I thought about getting the oil and spray. Do you get a lemon note out of Soft? I’ve heard it has one, I’m not a huge fan of Pink Sugar but I think it’s because of the licorice note. Thanks again. 😁
Hi Chris 😊 Loved the theme of this video. Lemon is one of my favorite notes. Aegean Sea sounds so refreshing. Does VCA Bois d’Amande have a prominent lemon? Your list is fantastic. I’d love to see a part two.
I am thoroughly enjoying the Bath & Body Works body cream and shower gel in Iced Lemon Pound Cake. I can attest that it does smell exactly like the Lemon Lover's Pound Cake I used to be famous for when I baked, the one my sister in law said was better than $ex, LOL. I really love it. Gosh, Lemon Tart and Petit Matin both sound fabulous! Who am I kidding? They *all* sound wonderful and your descriptions are so compelling! ~Cynthia
@@ThePerfumeNest Mine, too! I didn't get much, just a few body creams and matching shower gels and a couple of body creams for my husband. It wasn't the greatest sale, probably saved me some $$, but I use a lot of body cream so I always wait for that sale and get ahead. Iced Lemon Pound Cake is just heavenly!
Do you know Montale Soleil in Capri? It's divine. Chanel eau Fraiche is my travel scent every summer in 10mls bottles. You reminded me that Unknown Pleasures is still on my wish list.
