Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes (set up time 1-3 hours)

Ingredient check: citrus oil can be phototoxic. Use lemongrass oil, lemon balm oil, and lemon verbena if you want a safe recipe.

What a fab, simple recipe. And the product looks so good. Word to the wise: Use organic or home-grown lemons. Lemons get sprayed with some very harmful pesticides (the label will tell you which). It's not safe to ingest, so you might not want it on your skin, either. I only found this out when I was making lemon curd for the 1st time last Christmas. The rind of citrus fruits are rendered useless by these horrid pesticides. It's a shame.

Thank you for sharing! I learned how to make soap with coconut oil and Aloe Vera juice. I use mica pigment colors to color soaps. If I put there food coloring instead of pigment will it work? Thank you in advance.

Hello, am I don't think is a good idea bcuz citronella it is recommended to kill the mosquitoes, and it has a strong scent that it could cause Highly damage to your lungs. You can ask a pharmacist although I have a certificate of Respiratory Care and also pharmacy tech. You wanna add a fragrance that is soothe that you can breathe and make you feel relax and not that when you inhale make choked your throat. Safety precautions comes a long way. Good luck 🍀
