The cymbals are what Lemmon is known for, and for budget friendly cymbals, they are good. As other reviewers have found out, the cymbals are the best part of the kit. The drum pads are a little lacking. They do not feel as nice to play as they should, sensitivity isn't great, crosstalk is hard to dial away and is still faintly there, and the overall drum sounds are not great. The cost of the kit itself is not bad, but when you add the import fees and taxes, it makes the kit not worth the full price. It is better than the Roland DMK1 but not by much. For around the same price you paid for the Lemon e-kit, there are better options out there. If you use the TD27 module the Lemon kit will at least sound better. If you really want to be a good drummer you need a good drum kit. If accustic is out due to sound or space you must get a high-end e-kit. What I would like to see is you tweeking with the Lemon e-kit to get better sounds out of the module. Then I would like to see you sell the Lemon e-kit and upgrade to a high-end e-kit. A good high-end e-kit is 99.9% like playing an accustic kit. With a high-end e-kit the feel, sensitivity, sounds, more depth of sounds, more creativity, eddiiting options, and drum set realism will all be superior over the Lemon e-kit. As Roland high-end pad kits are small and the Roland VAD kits are ridiculously expensive and the Roland sounds are no longer concidered the best I would go with another high-end brand. I got an Efnote kit that is similar in price to the Roland TD27 but has nicer bigger pads that look like real shells, superior realistic feeling cymbals, it has lots of depth in sounds and sensitivity, and the module sounds sound just like great miked up studio kits. I am not saying you must get an Efnote e-kit as there are other great high-end brands of e-kits much better than Lemon and even Roland. The main thing for me is that if you truly want to learn an instrument why would you start with what is referred to as a "beginner" instrument to start learning on? Once you mastered the " beginner" instrument you will want to upgrade it or get a better one. This is just a huge waste of money. A good quality high-end instrument will save you money in the long run, give you everything you need to learn that instrument, you will have lots more fun playing it, and you will not develop poor drumming habbits that a lower-end e-kit forces you to do as they just do not perform better or quite right. Also if you learn on a lower-end e-kit and then go to play an accustic kit or a high-end e-kit you will feel like you can not play drums as well as you thought and there will be a relearning curve to get used to a "propper" drum kit. Also you will find some of what you played and learned on the "beginner" e-kit does not work or plays totally different as on the "beginner" e-kit you had to play things differently than how you would play them on a good proper drum kit. With a high-end e-kit you will also find you can be a lot more creative in your playing as those kits allow you to learn to play with dynamics, and with all the proper sounds you should get out of a drum kit.

Writing a dissertation to a beginner about how bad his NEW kit is is nasty business. Every issue you named is easily addressed. What a way to ruin his journey before it starts smh!

@@truthseeker5591 I mean yes you’re right in a sense ! But this guy isn’t lying either. Honesty isn’t always a bad thing. I can look back to my first year or 2 of edrums and I kinda wish others were kinda brutally honest with me on a lot of things. Would have saved me a lot of time and money. I get where you’re coming from but I also can respect the honesty also
